I think it was Julie who said the experience was more like a marathon than a sprint. One of the things that we found the most appealing were the duo's stats. The ratio of sales price to asking price, and the average time of their listings on market, were fantastic. But what is it they always say? Past results aren't a guarantee of future success? It took a little bit longer, and we didn't quite get as much for the house as we had hoped. But there were a lot of unexpected bumps along the road. Like a tree falling onto the house, and puncturing a hole in the roof, while it was on the market. But Patrick and Julie were always a reassuring voice of calm. Plus, they were able to connect us with people who could help shore up the house to get it ready for going on the market, even when our long time handyman wasn't able to get us onto his schedule. While part of me wishes the couple might have been more aggressive at marketing the property, I don't regret the decision to pass on the more aggressive agent we considered for the listing. With an impending move on the horizon, and the inherently stressful proposition of selling one's most valuable asset, the calm and peaceful disposition of McSharry and Associates was just what we needed.
