I asked I was looking for activities and information. I was walked to a wall of flyers where she explained the activities that are available and asked for what are some of the interests. They have painting, exercise classes, lunch, bingo, day trips, hula dancing, line dancing and soo many more like music classes and technology classes. I was pleasantly surprised by all that they offer and about the staff working that day. I will definitely encourage my family member to attend as I believe she will really enjoy herself and most importantly the staff appears to be friendly and welcoming. This can sometimes be a bit intimidating for our senior community when trying out new things.

Major KUDOS to DYLAN, one of the amazing staff members at La Fetra. He was consistently checking the trash cans and making sure they weren't over flowing or beginning to look messy. Not to mention, he worse his mask the ENTIRE event (set up and clean up) and stayed 6ft away at all times! You rock Dylan! Also, special thanks to SHERYL RYAN was our direct point of contact and she made the planning process easy. It was so stressful planning this even but Sheryl reassured us and answered all our questions about the venue and was very transparent with everything overall. Amenities: *Parking: there are about 5 parking spots right behind the venue (in the back facing the baseball field) that allow easy access from the cars to the venue. For example, if you have to bring decor in or other heavy things you cannot carry a long distance. This side parking made it very convenient to clean up the decorations and load cars with the gifts. Also, there is a small parking lot right across the street, just a few feet away from the center. The parking lot was able to accommodate all cars of the guests and no one really had to park on the street. As someone who dislikes street parking with a passion, this was a major plus! *The bathrooms were clean and spacious. There were plenty of stalls and no one had to wait in line (not even the ladies!) *There is a big wide window that overlooks the baseball field and the scenery is so calming and nice to look at. It makes me miss when I used to live nearby in Azusa. Now, time to convince my mom to let me have my graduation party here!

It's cool they give you a free haircut every few months. They have a barber and call you to make an…read moreappointment. You have to be sure you call them back when they call to confirm if you are going. Last time I changed my number I forgot to give it to them. So when I went for my appt they told me they gave it away because I never called them back. They were able to give me a voucher for a haircut at a barbershop. After I got my haircut I was able to get some groceries without waiting in line. They give you a good amount of food. We even got eggs.

But due to work, I have only been able to take a few classes throughout the years. But I do love the variety of classes that they offer and how constant their schedule is. If you are looking for a Japanese school for your child to attend, they offer that. If you would like to just learn more about the community through the different cultural classes, just sign up for the emails and you can be alerted for upcoming classes that they offer. I've taken amigurumi (crochet), ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), and a cooking class. All of the instructors are great and mostly volunteers. So it just shows you what a great community there is. They have festivals through the year and also help put on the West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival. They also host the West Covina obon at the center but it is organized by the Buddhist church which is based out of the community center. So there is just a lot of activities that you can get involved with.
