When documentation proving this was submitted and the principal apologized, the receptionist conveniently forgot all about the incident (yet somehow can remember to avoid me like the plague) and the corresponding paperwork that was faxed to her, my lawyer, and emailed - claiming that he, my ex, was the custodial parent (because he said so - zero legal documentation). Another receptionist looks and dutifully informs me that all documentation I'm referring to "doesn't exist or they would have it on file". I've, for the 3rd time, corrected this and submitted my information. I'm told they SHOULD be checking ID against birth certificates on file, however, said receptionist refused to do so and keeps insisting that I'm not authorized by my ex husband (child thief) and his new wife (who signs for my children as their mother). This is outrageous. There is no reason for it. I'm not a criminal. I'm not a violent person. I have no restraining orders against me. My children adore me. She simply decided she liked the charming facade my ex is able to put on and therefore, I need to be removed from my own children's lives. The principal didn't want to be bothered at the start of this year or deal with the headache again and simply refused to come out of her office today. How professional. I wasn't even listed as their mother and the receptionist KNEW this was bogus (see: refusing to check ID against birth certificates or abide by legal documents stating not only that I am their mother, but also that I am the primary custodian). Add to this that this school falls below average in the district and that the district falls below average in the state... And it's pretty clear why they encourage such behavior - they're only there to collect a paycheck and go home.

I attended BHS all four years of my high school career and saw countless fights, drugs, SALE OF DRUGS, disrespectful teachers, ambulances in our parking lot, teachers that don't show up, grading policies that vary between teachers. I have countless stories of unjust actions, dangerous ideals that are allowed, and just utter garbage use of a school. The worst teacher I've ever had was Ms. Krisher. She should never have been allowed in a classroom. She told freshman females (15/16 years old) they shouldn't be wearing bras because it's oppressive. She told boys they're never going to do as much for society as the girls. This was a bad high school. GO TO CENTRAL KITSAP, ITS MUCH BETTER.

Naomi (the director) has been amazing about communication and keeping us as parents informed with any and every change as it comes. The teachers are patient and loving, you can tell they value how much of an impact they make on every child. I can't tell you enough how much effort is put in with activities and education. My son has brought home more art work than I have room for and I am always up to date through photos every week on what he's been up to. The menus are sent out the week before and its a well balanced diet that is easily mirrored/complimented at home. Again I cant say enough about this facility!

I wanted to update my previous review (see the looooooooooong one below about how well this worked…read morefor my two developmentally delayed toddlers). My children are in elementary school now, and I continue to see my decision to place my kids at Knowledge House to be an excellent one. My kids started kindergarten academically ahead of their peers, and having already developed the social skills necessary for elementary school. They could work well with others, treat each other and adults with respect, and solve problems peacefully. I see the influence of their education at Knowledge House sneaking out in all sorts of positive ways: they shake hands with people and are confident when sharing their ideas, they include others in their play and notice when someone is left out, they love to explore and learn new things, and they use many different ways to solve problems. To add to all of that, despite the fact that many of their former classmates at Knowledge House attend different elementary schools, the kids still play together at playdates and we still talk with our former Knowledge House families. Mark and Valerie make this preschool a place for children to grow and learn at their own pace, and where children develop a sense of community and self-confidence.

This Preschool is amazing. Our daughter started Miss Jen's T/TH class not even wanting to trace a…read moresimple line. By the end of the year she could write her own name without any assistance...recognized all capitol letters etc.. More importantly Wonders of Learning lays an incredible faith based foundation. I worked at previous day cares in my hometown and this one has been my favorite so far. The director (Ms Anna) and program manager (Ms Cassy) are some really amazing, kind hearted people. They always have the best interest of the kids in mind, you can tell they are really in it for the best reasons! There were tons of areas for me to grow and learn as a worker there. I was able to work with almost every age group (which was THE BEST part). The community of workers here was also my favorite part. Everyone who worked here while I did was exactly what I would want in a childcare for my child. Loving, caring people with the ability to teach and adapt to different children's learning styles.
