I was acting as a manager and representative for an out-of-state property owner who needed a deep clean of a three-bedroom home that the previous tenants left in poor condition. I greeted the cleaner, Diamond, at the property to let her in and provided her with my number, but she never contacted me. Instead, the business owner, Yolanda, reached out to the property owner about five hours later to say the job was done. When I returned that night to verify the work, I was appalled to find that nothing had been completed. The walls, doors, window sills, blinds, ceiling fans, oven, cabinets, and floors were all still dirty. Yolanda, the owner of Executive Diva, gave the property owner a hard time, arguing and denying the issues, claiming that Diamond had done a "great job," despite photographic evidence to the contrary. One text the property owner received said, "Those are the before pictures, sweetheart," even though I had sent them in real-time while at the property after they claimed the cleaning was done. Eventually, she agreed to a video call so I could demonstrate the extent of the cleaning issues. During that call, she was apologetic and promised to immediately arrange for an emergency team to address the problems. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting at the vacant property for five hours without any follow-up or response from her. She didn't even text to let me know that no one could make it (I have an iPhone and could see that she read my messages). The next day, when the property owner requested a refund due to the situation and Yolanda's refusal to remedy it, Yolanda claimed she hadn't admitted to anything and denied ever saying she would send anyone. She completely lied about the whole situation. Fortunately, I recorded the video call, but now the owner will have to go through the headache of filing a small claims case just to recover the fraudulently collected fee. What a nightmare! BUYER BEWARE: this business acted dishonestly with us.

The house did not meet my expectations and I explained this to Yolanda Taylor, the boss. I was able to get about half the house down in over 4 hours due to how dirty and dusty the house was. I planned to go back over the house to see if I missed anything. She called me and asked what was taking so long so I explained that I had to get on my hands and knees to scrub off the caked on dust on the base boards. She told me I shouldn't have to do that and to just use the mop the wipe them down. I did as I was told and when it was time for the realtor to come back and check the next day, it looked like the house wasn't clean. I did what I was supposed to do and was told I was taking to long. I then did what I was told to do and then got thrown under the bus. I expressed that I will not work under that type of management and quit. Direct deposit days are on the 10th and 25th and I still haven't gotten paid for my time. I will be reporting this business owner to the BBB and I will be contacting a lawyer.
