Otherwise you are getting handed a pretty product that won't perform the way it should. A web designer must be able to work with different media types to add sound, sliders or video to web pages. An extra skill set that great designers have is content writing, making them able to design the whole page from scratch, and not just pieces of it. First off, there is a filtered review below that you should read because my experience is…read moreidentical. The other review "sassy" was left by the owner, that should tell you what you are dealing with. We shared an office space with these "web designers" and submitted our highly functional and specific needs to them, and they seemed to understand what we need. So when they hit us with a $15,000 to $20,000 price we trusted them and agreed. BIG mistake. Clearly, they have no idea how to build a website, although they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your money. AND you better have a lot of it, because when our website was done, virtually none of our needed functions was completed and the site was seriously flawed. They couldn't produce a calendar that updates automatically with the date for all this money. I built a personal site on Square Space and added the calendar in 5 seconds. Total cost for my site: $97. $97 can get you a calendar that $20,000 couldn't. We had three separate web developers look into the site, all people I know and trust, and all three independently of each other came up with the exact same appraisal...no more than $3000. All the functions we need, Antarctic said couldn't be included in the initial price and would now cost more than $20,000 to $30,000 with no end in site. On top of that we received the 'non-profit discount" as friends. They claimed that the site had taken 400 hours to do (397 is a better fake number they came up with) but they would be nice and only bill us for 200 hours. 400 hours would come out to a $65,000 site. Again, they are saying the value of this site to be $65,000, our appraisals were all $3,000 tops. 400 hours, and it wasn't even close to being finished. When we refused payment they sued my company. They are also masters of putting together contracts that favor them and leave you helpless. In a nutshell, these aren't some of the shadiest people in NYC, they are some of the shadiest people on the whole planet. Do yourself a favor, read the filtered review below, and find yourself a real web designer who's has a conscience.

The owner has no experience in web-design and no capabilities even after years of owning a business revolving around it. He will tell you that he can accomplish what you're asking for even if he has no idea how to do it and since they bill hourly they bill you for the time they spend learning how to do it plus the time it takes to actually do it. Save your money and go to a company that is honest and upfront with you about their capabilities and you will save a ton of money and headache. I tolerated their services for two years and spent over six digits to get a site that was barely functional that damaged my reputation as a retailer. After speaking with several former members of his team I have come to learn that some of these hours spent were embellished and I was over-charged intentionally. Buyer beware, this business lacks integrity and is just out to get your money consistently by trapping you in a web of inexperience covered up by smooth-talking. I wish there was anything good I could say but the owner shows no remorse for his faulty work and there was nothing positive about the experience.
