This is my second time this year at the Sofitel hotel , i highly reccomend it to any one that wants to stay in comfy surroundings, the staff at the restaurant they were very friendly and very nice to me and my mum,chef ‍ Ahmed was very kind , Fatima also was sweet made me and mum very special, enjoyed her delicious bread the mssamin , the hair dresser Mohamed he's brilliant and very professional, me and my mum we had our hair done really nicely , to be honest All the staff are very kind and warmhearted.but not the reception staff a bit rude and arrangeant ,not helpful , for my first night they made me stay in normal room and i paid for deluxe room ,I was a bit disappointed but thank god the next day , Mahdi Changed us to deluxe room , but definitely I will come back again , read more

Terrible service. Booked two weeks all inclusive in a five star hotel by the coast and received all expected confirmation emails. Emailed me weeks later to inform that due to a technical issue they had reallocated me to a different hotel. This hotel was 4 star, lower rating on Trip Adviser, not on the coast and £250 cheaper than the hotel I had a confirmed booking with. As the hotel I had a confirmed booking with still has availability I expected them to sort the matter out and get me a room at the availably hotel at the price agreed. I can still purchase the same hotel for the same dates through their site as well as direct or with other companies. They have refused this instead suggesting I take a refund and pay the additional £250 to stay in the hotel I have a confirmed booking with. Buyer beware. read more

Booked a room in Chicago only to be told a week later that Alpha were cancelling the booking because of a technical error on thier part on their website . They guy on the phone thought he was doing me a favour by returning my £1. There was no offer of compensation . The small print says they are within their rights , but to accept an advertised price is usually a contract - but only if you have paid the whole cost - so beware . So your booking could be cancelled at any time up to the point you have paid all the money over - BEWARE !! read more

Fresh booking modification made as only escape route to previous booking. Absolutely disgraceful 'customer service'. Misleading advert, calls not returned, logged website enquiry not answered, and operative who put phone down and cut me off. Supplier, customer and hotel were all in agreement on issue, but Alpha Rooms operatives in total denial (company policy ?). Incredibly same misleading offer still on their website. I booked a room with Alpharooms and received two confirmations of my bookings by email. On a hunch, I contacted the hotel and asked about my reservation. I was shocked when they told me that they had no reservation for me. I contacted Alpharooms via their website and two days later got no response. So, I called Alpharooms. After 10 minutes on hold I got a customer service rep who put me on hold for another 20 minutes. Then she told me she would follow-up with an email. Later I got an email that explained that the "hotels systems" are down and my room could only be confirmed after 5 more days of waiting. Five days came and went and I heard nothing from Alpharooms. So, I wrote them again. Then I get an email that the hotel had over booked its rooms and no rooms were available. On TripAdvisor, there is a long thread, currently with over 300 posts, of customers with complaints about Alpharooms, mostly due to overbookings. Seems that overbooking is a frequent problem with Alpharooms. Google "TripAdvisor Alpharooms". Alpharooms likes to point to great reviews and customer satisfaction on websites such as Feefo, ReviewCentre and TrustPilot, but all customers are supposed to get a chance to make a review and I received no invitation from Alpharooms to review them. After making a mistake with making a payment online .i contacted Alpha rooms on the 25/10/2017 and on their advice i cancelled my booking and created a new one.I was told the refund of my money (the complete payment of my hotel £2258.60 )would be charged back to my debit card within 3 to 5 days.I called back on the 9/11/2017 and spoke to Benjamin Who told me there had been a technical error and my money would be refunded in 3 to 5 days.I then recieved an email from them saying.( Hello, Thank you for contacting alpharooms. Today we have processed a refund of £2258.60 back to your card. Kind Regards, Sudha Analyst - Finance ) After 5 days still nothing.i contacted Alpha rooms again to explain ive had no refund . I spoke to Leo who contacted the accounts team and they said they had processed the refund on the 9/11/2017 He also sent me copies of the Credit transaction summary and to show this to my bank.Which i did and they said they had had no refund into my account and nothing was pending for any reason and they would never block any payment into an account .So clearly there is a problem at Alpha rooms. I contacted them again and was asked for a copy of my bank statement which they have recieved and can clearly see no refund.I have asked numerous times for them to ask the accounts team to resend the refund as they can see i havnt received anything.I contacted them again today and spoke to Austin who sent me the exact same email as Leo and told me to show my bank.Which i did and the bank said it must be a problem with Alpha rooms accounts You can clearly see there is a problem and I know you have sent me the refund transaction receipts but you also have my bank statements and me and my bank are not lying to you I have had no refund There is a problem at youre side .Ive no doubght that the refund was processed on the 9th of Nov But it has not arrived in my bank account as you can clearly see from my bank statements so there is a problem read more

Please do not waste your money on booking with alpharooms! I booked a hotel in Mexico and the total money was taken from my account soon afterwards. After I had an unscheduled layover and my transfer not showing up I thought it couldn't get any worse UNTIL I arrived at the hotel and was told that Alpharooms had cancelled my booking and taken my money. I would need to pay another 2 grand for another room. After hours trying to get it sorted with Alpharooms they eventually acknowledged their mistake. This is not a once off - the same thing has just happened to my neighbour however Alpharooms now have no room to give her. Avoid this dodgy company unless you want your holiday ruined! read more

Never again. Bad service. i have booked quite a few times for my family & also recomended a lot to others but Never Again. They are a disgrace. Unfortunately an immediate family member,RIP, passed away suddenly and we needed to cancel our family holiday. we had saved and saved for this. I sent a cancellation email advising of bereavement and was told as it was within 7 days there was no refund and no option to defer holiday either. when i asked if they had a bereavement policy,i just kept getting the same response re. the seven days. no condolences, options, nothing. they should be ashamed of themselves. the airline refunded immediately with supply of documents. i contacted the hotel directly and they were so kind but their hands were tied as it was booked with alpharooms. Im sure our holiday was resold as it was in high demand as there was still 6 days notice. alpharooms probably made a nice profit there. this cancellation was not an option, our bereavement was sudden and could not be timed within time frames for cancellations. with all the profits alpharooms make, they still have no room for human kindness and compassion. hang your heads in shame.. 3/7/17, I'm still awaiting an update, received direct calls to say looking into it. To add salt to the wounds I received an email from alpharooms saying they hoped I enjoyed my stay & asked me to review my holiday with trip advisor.....05/07/2017, still awaiting a reply after promise that I would receive an update...really disappointed with the service from alpharooms....6/7/17 received an email today,what are they asking me to check??? very same answer as in first week of June so just fobbed me off for a month because i posted a review of this site. typical, blaming someone else!!
