I sent an email on12/14/23. No response (even checked spam folder). I have called several times and left a voicemail. So maybe they are permanently closed and don't care about a negative review. I'm disappointed because there aren't any other options in Mammoth. read more

I'm a photographer and I've photographed a few brides who have used Nicki! She has done a great job and they've all looked gorgeous, fresh, natural, and with hair and make up that has lasted for photos. read more

Nicki was totally awesome for both the trial run and the day of wedding. She's such a chill person, and she's willing to play the bad guy with family to make sure there's no drama while getting ready. As someone who doesn't usually ever wear makeup, she was able to do a style that felt more natural. Overall, the hair and makeup looked great and I got lots of compliments on it! read more

Nicki got great reviews on Yelp and she was highly recommended by our venue coordinator and our photographer in Mammoth Lakes. Our wedding is scheduled for August 22nd 2020. She may be great at her job, but I will never know because her communication has been unbelieveably poor. After paying a $100 deposit on hair/make-up, I attempted to set up a hair/make-up trial in February of this year. I reached out via email and phone and it looked like we were going to be able to set something up. Unfortunately, she "ghosted" me via email. I thought, "oh well, it'll be fine, I can roll with it on the day-of". In June this year, I checked in with her, as COVID changed everything. We're eloping instead of our original wedding plan, but same date/same area. She emails me back, said she was still down to do hair/make-up for me, and we could set up a phone chat. So I try to set up a phone chat. She ghosts me yet again. This time, it's about the wedding hair/make-up, so I guess that's not happening. I've sent out multiple emails through July, no reply. I get it... maybe? COVID? Family emergency? Either way, I just want to hear from her that things have changed. I guess it's not a huge deal because our wedding is so much smaller than before, but now here I am looking up You Tube videos 2 weeks before I get married on how to do my own wedding hair & make-up. Pretty epic fail. read more

Nicki is amazing at what she does. She made me feel at ease and beautiful on my wedding day. My makeup and hair was exactly what I imagined but better - it was fresh, tailored to my outdoor wedding, and it stayed in place all day. She is a responsive, talented and overall a great human being. Thank you, Nicki! read more

Nicki was everything I could have hoped for on my big day, and much, much more. Mammoth is a small town and there aren't a ton of wedding vendor options, so I couldn't believe how incredibly skilled Nicki was when styling me, my bridesmaids, the MOB and MOG. Nicki has had decades of experience, including styling in LA, and her skill and professionalism definitely show. I was planning my wedding from abroad and was foiled twice in trying to make it out early for a trial, but Nicki was very relaxed and accommodating with helping me plan from afar. On the day of, she was totally cool with my change in hair plans and even was able to fit in the MOB and MOG for a quick blowout. Talk about being chill and wonderful! She also provided two hair prep assistants (we had a large group) and a makeup artist, Jenny. The hair assistants were great and Jenny was some mix between a magician and an artist!!! Seriously, I was blown away by what she was able to do both with requests of light makeup and full-on smiley eyes. My whole wedding party absolutely loved how they looked, and it definitely showed in the amount of fun we had that day and the pictures we took that night. As for me, I seriously never would have imagined I would look and feel so beautiful (and not overdone at all) on my wedding day. I wish I could have Nicki and Jenny style me everyday! read more

Nicki did a spectacular job on my hair for my wedding. I brought in pictures of the style I wanted, and she did the exact style but made it even better than the pictures. It stayed the entire night and I received so many compliments on it. Prior to the wedding, she was nice enough to create a schedule for the order of me and my bridesmaids so everything went smoothly the day of. For makeup, Nicki brought Aurora and she was wonderful. So easy to work with and was honest about what looked good and what didn't. If you need makeup done for your wedding, ask for Aurora! read more

Nicki did an amazing job on my wedding hair and makeup. I wanted a more natural look and she executed exactly what I wanted without caking on too much. She is local to the area and with that, is very aware of the windy conditions that can be present in Mammoth. She will make sure your hair stays in place! Highly highly recommend. read more

I will never stop being amazed at Nicki's talent. I recently changed my hair color (as I often do) and have had nothing but compliments! Nicki is not only great with cuts but she is probably the best colorist I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few. If you want a great haircut or you are ready for something new and you want to do it in a mellow, drama free salon, Nicki is for you! read more

Nicki, Jenny and Daryl did an AMAZING job for my wedding earlier this month. She made me feel and look so amazingly beautiful, along with my bridesmaids and mama. She really listens to how you want your hair done and can take one picture and make it even better than hoped! She was such a pleasure to work with and made our getting ready process the day of enjoyable because of it. read more

Though I've never had the pleasure of my unruly hair worked on by the talented and highly skilled Nicki, I can say that as a wedding photographer she does amazing work. Nicki has the unique ability to do hair that holds up under some of the extremes of the Eastern Sierra be it a breeze, a strong wind, harsh sunlight, and rowdy dancing during the reception. When she does hair it holds up all day and makes my job a lot easier. She's also easygoing and cool to be around during the fun getting ready time before the ceremony and always puts her heart and soul into what she does. read more

I've worked with Nicki on multiple weddings in the Mammoth/Eastern Sierra area and she is hands down THE BEST wedding hair stylist in town. She will create the look you desire for your wedding or special occasion. She is a Mammoth local and has the experience and knowledge every bride would want. read more

Nicki has always done an incredible job! Whether it has been a cut and color, wedding hair, and even prom hair back in the day, I have honestly absolutely loved everything she has done! She will always take ideas that I bring to her, and then styles it based on my hair type so that it would look the better than I imagined! When she came in the morning to get all of us girls ready for a wedding, it was the most fun and relaxed wedding morning I've experienced! Highly recommend Nicki! read more

Nicki surpassed all of my expectations in so many ways. I was a very last-minute bride when it came to my hair, and so were my bridesmaids. Nicki and I had done a trial but I had no real idea what I wanted to do or what would look good on me. She was more than patient and helped figure out what would look best with my bone structure and my dress. On the day of the wedding she showed up to our cabin at Convict Lake perfectly on time, with a wonderful calming energy that permeated the room and everyone in it. I really could not have asked for a better person to be around on such a crazy morning. She did an amazing job on my up-do (something I had never ever done before) and I loved it. She knew that the lake would be windy and she made sure that my hair didn't move an inch. My up-do managed to look perfect from beginning to end, and then she even showed my bridesmaids how to un-do it so I could let my hair down at the reception. As for my bridesmaids, three of them chose to have her do their hair done and they all looked so stunning. I could not have asked for a better hairstylist on the day of my wedding. Thank you Nicki!!!! read more

I was so lucky to work with the wonderful ladies from Allure Salon for my wedding this June 2017. Nikki did such an incredible job on my hair - she listened to what I wanted, looked at the pictures I had, and came up with a style I loved even more than my original idea. She is incredibly talented. On the day of my wedding, she was deathly ill with a stomach bug and, even though she was throwing up in between each of my bridesmaids, this angel made it through the whole morning with a smile on her face and somehow still managed to make us all look fabulous. I was so relieved she didn't leave me hanging the morning of my wedding - I can't even imagine what a disaster that would have been as my wedding was at least an hour from any other salon. Jenny, who did our makeup, was also amazing and very easy to work with. I had never had my makeup professionally done before, but she gave me exactly the subtle, more natural look I knew my husband would appreciate. Both of these great gals worked with all my bridesmaids individually to make them all feel beautiful in their unique way (and there were some unique looks, including my sister's dreadlocks). I really appreciated their attention to detail and their accommodating service! Would definitely hire them again! read more

Nicki did my make up and some of my bridesmaids hair for my wedding, and she is absolutely amazing! I had the privilege of having Nicki as part of a team to prepare myself (the bride) and my 6 bridemaids for an outdoor winter wedding in the snow! I have nothing but fantastic things to say. She really understood what each girl wanted for hair and makeup, and was patient with all the adjustments as they came. My bridesmaids run the gamut in hair and skin tones, from Chinese with thick black hair to Norwegian with straight blonde hair and everything in between.... every last girl looked perfect. We all raved about the services, the punctuality - everything went off without a hitch. I would recommend Nicki to any friend getting married in the area. Many of my bridesmaids have been in several weddings over the past year or two, and all of them said this was hands down the best experience they had had with a stylist team to date. Thank you Nicki. read more

Nicki was so available and professional in all my interactions with her. My son and his bride live in Boston so we had to do most arranging long distance. Nicki went out of her way to insure my daughter -in-law to be had the benefit of pre-wedding walk through with make up and hair. The bride was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and Nicki provided calm and stability to the pre wedding activity. Thank you Nicki from the Stump family. read more

Nicki has been my hairstylist for several years now and there's a reason I keep going back! My mom and sisters also love Nicki and her talent. Nicki always delivers exactly what I'm looking for and beyond! After making an appointment, I'm always super excited and can't wait to feel great with my fresh and healthy hair. My appointment is usually for a trim and weave. Aside from Nicki being my go-to stylist, I consider her my friend and "hairapist." I always leave my appointment feeling like I just had a long chat with a good friend. For my wedding this past August, I asked Nicki to style my hair and makeup. She delivered 100% and made me feel like a confident, glamorous bride. Exactly how I wanted to feel! I don't wear much makeup and wanted to look like myself for the big day. Nicki made me feel naturally beautiful and I absolutely loved how I felt and looked! I currently live in Washington state and can't wait to visit Bishop again for Nicki to freshen up my color and cut. She's amazing! You will NOT be disappointed! read more

Nicki styled my hair for my wedding and did a fantastic job. I don't normally do much to my hair and was worried that I would feel uncomfortable or even silly with my hair done up for the big day. Nicki listened to what I wanted and gave me a gorgeous hairstyle that was polished yet natural - exactly what I was looking for! I can't recommend AlpenGlow Bridal highly enough! read more
