The room is a bit less than what you expect of an AC but comfortable and ours was clean. The breakfast at the restaurant and the staff made up for the unpleasant welcome. The staff at the pool area were good too. Food was good there as well, but it gets loud since you are right next to the pool and loungers. Location was okay, but not withing walking distance to places. You will need to take and Uber or taxi if you want to venture out. I will not consider this hotel for the future and will find a better location.

When I called later from my room about an upgrade with a fee, there were plenty of upgrades if I had paid for them. The hotel does have a gym but no pool or spa facilities. The rooms are modern but overall pretty basic and do not have high-end perks like robes/slippers or a tub. In fact, we didn't even have a hair conditioner in the room. There is a coffee maker with good coffee and they give you two bottles of water per day. Housekeeping was good as was the breakfast that was included in our room fee. Overall, a solid 4 star experience.

We really appreciated the level of security to the rooms. The aesthetics of the Hilton are stunning. While the restaurants and bars inside weren't occupied when we passed by they were very inviting. Our room was a king room with all the amenities one would expect. The mini fridge was operational which is nice as that isn't always the case. The lighting didn't have any guesswork and the bathroom facilities including the shower head were all luxury level. Whether you're on business or leisure, having access to the Expo, Midtown shopping and the Fresko grocery store makes the Hilton Midtown an excellent stay.

It is part of the luxurious Quinta Real brand, which often places their hotel properties in historical buildings. The Guadalajara property was actually built in 1986, but constructed as a traditional colonial-style hacienda on land once owned by the Martinez family. It has been described as an oasis, and that is a perfect impression. When you step inside, you're enclosed by high stone walls, reminiscent of a castle or palazzo, surrounded by lush gardens, birdsong, splashing fountains, antiques, and artwork by artists such as Sergio Bustamante. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in and elegant indoor/outdoor restaurant. Everything is hushed and refined, in direct contrast with the noise and traffic just outside the doors. The very best part of the experience, however, was the impeccable, accommodating, and kind staff. We went in May and it was hot, yet ice and water, coffee, and even blending our protein shake with soy milk or non lactose milk (without extra cost) was possible every morning. We did not dine more than once on night of arrival yet the freshly prepared ginger lemonades and cocktails were delicious.
