We started out, sharing an herb salad with pears, a special kind of cheese and delicious ground hazelnut spread. Our next course was a delicious roast lamb served with fresh mint from the garden a delicious yogurt and I believe a potato purée. It was absolutely amazing. The lamb was so tender. You could cut it with the fork. We completed our meal with a delicious Pavlova served with spiced apples. The meal was absolutely beautiful. For a brand new restaurant there were no issues with any portion of our meal no hiccups from the kitchen or any service issues whatsoever everything ran perfectly, which is absolutely unheard of for a restaurant. That's only been open for a week. I highly recommend this special treat of a restaurant. The restaurant was a bit on the pricey side, but for everything that you work at receiving it was more than fair. I would absolutely return and cannot wait to see how their menu expands. I think this restaurant will be absolutely successful and I hope they will be. They were extremely accommodating of our family and even sold us a bottle of kombucha because it's difficult for us to find it in Germany. Instantly we were warmly greeted and taken to our seats. We were there on a Monday evening and although slightly busy, we had space around us and the background noise was minimal. There seemed to be two sections to this place, a seated area to the left as you enter with a bar off to the side, and to the right a purely seated area which most of the dinner guests sat. We were waited on very well, and they had a menu in English for those monolinguists amongst us. My Partner is Vegan, and sometimes, especially abroad we have problems finding something for her. Here they did have vegeterian options that she could easily change to vegan without a problem. All courses arrived in a good time and the food itself was very well presented, without being pretentious. The price was very reasonable indeed. The clientele were a mixed and happy bunch. This café is located in the downtown area. Their food offerings are excellent and one cake looks…read morebetter than the next. The staff was kind to explain all the cakes we had questions on. It is hard to decide so we tried a couple different cakes and at coffee as well. The black forest cake was decadent, but it was outshined by the berry tart that my wife ordered. The combination of chocolate cake and berries was fantastic. Next time we would want to try their apple strudel, since it seems to be a specialty of the house. After your coffee break, you can stroll the rest of downtown, which looks very nice with the little river running through it.
