I have since learned not to make such rookie mistakes. A few years ago I was in an accident on Westheimer and Fondren, and my car was undriveable. Since the accident happened on the corner and this repair shop is on the same corner, I thought I "lucked out" as far as location. I don't remember the employees' names, but they were very nice and seemingly helpful at the time. Long story short... my repair took an entire month when I was predicted to have a shorter repair time. They kept telling me it was for parts that took forever to ship/ order. Right after the accident, I was told I'd have a NICE loaner car. What a joke, they put my in an early 90's impala. The stereo system wouldn't even work. I was told that my car would have entirely NEW parts. I was hit on the driver's side and was told both left side doors were going to be replaced by NEW ones. Also, they kept giving me the run around about some mystery extra part (an accessory part) that needed to be installed. When I called weekly to remind/ ask about the status of this part installation and shipment, it turns out they never freaking ordered it. Since my car was driveable without this mystery part, I was able to get it back. I was too livid at this point to focus on a minor accessory. It's been almost 4 years since this accident, and my car still suffers from such a shitty job. First of all, my car's "door ajar" sensor turns on and off when it pleases. And second of all, I am pretty damn sure they didn't order NEW parts as I was told because the frame on my door is rusting over. I have a feeling they just spray painted over certain areas because I would get ink marks on my fingers and hands whenever I touched it. And now since all the spray paint or automotive paint is gone, it's this tacky ass rust right on my doors. Sucks to be my car. I complained about this company to the BBB, and my complaint was deleted and labeled "having insufficient information" or some bogus BS like that. I guess they're in cahoots with this shady ass repair shop. I apologize for having expletives here and there, but this is the cleanest I can describe my feelings about this business. It's partially my fault for being naive and desperate to put the accident in the past. I seriously urge people to never come here because the people here are a joke, the work is terrible, and they will rob you blind like they did to me. What a bunch of greedy ambulance chasers. I really want to give this place ZERO stars for its shitty customer service and quality of work. Next time, just go to the dealership. Now I know.

The convenience store was smaller than average, but it appeared to have (I didn't go inside) the staples - your snacks, lottery, beer, cigarettes, drinks, bathroom, etc. They have steady business here. The good thing is, if it gets real packed, there is a Shell right across the street that usually has the same gas prices. I have been to both and they are both great. I've been to this location multiple times before and will come again. The only thing that may not be fun is during rush hour, you might never be able to get out of there because that traffic can get bad! Other than that, everything here is dandy.

Parking lot is usually well kept, no weary people hanging around telling you that they are from out of town, their car is down the road stuck with no gas and their 4 kids are stranded there waiting for some gas to make it to blah blah blah... Brightly lit, you will feel a little more secure here than the kind of dark Chevon down the block. This proved to be quite the chore. Many tow companies don't tow cars with no rims and tires. I mean, I get it but, what's a person to do?! I then found one that was going to charge me A LOT ... including a deposit and $5 per mile to the cars destination. Yikes! I called Best Houston Towing, they answered quickly, the gentleman was super nice, quick with info, gave me a great quote for the tow, and let me know just what time the driver would be at our place with rims and tires to put on the car and to get to the tire/rim shop! It literally ALL happened just like that and was SUPER seamless!!!! The driver was on time, wore a mask for his and our safety, was as nice and friendly as could be, and worked efficiently and effectively to get the car safely loaded onto the truck and then got it safely to the tire/rim store! I was also interested in the availability of gas as this place was shown on the news for continually running pumps (and totals due) even after the pump was shut off and consumers had completed their fueling process. The news visited at least 2 times, and both of which the specific pump was still operable. As I entered the parking lot, it was clear that ALL pumps were out of service. However, the parking lot near the store part was still quite full. As I approached the door, there was a sign that warned customers that only cash was being accepted. As I asked the "gentleman" behind the counter for the particular scratch-off that I wanted, he rolled his beastly ass up from the floor, wearing his brightly colored vest, spit his tobacco juice into an old used soda bottle, squinted his eye at me, and just stood there looking at me. I politely asked again. He then made it clear that he was offended by the fact that I thought he worked there. I gave myself a 2-second check of my surroundings, apologized for the confusion as he was the only person behind the counter, suggested he find some sort of employment that causes him to present himself in a more becoming manner, and waited for the true clerk to emerge. As I waited, I also noticed that the only other customer in the store was another man, who had clearly just left the beach and was planning for more beer and snack. As he piled his goods on the counter and returned to the shopping area for more, I made the same request to the "real" clerk who emerged from the back, on his cellular phone, seeming cursing and clearly fussing, all while not ending his phone call in any sort of a hurry. Such was a clear indication that he was not expecting too many customers...As I made my request, he quickly said: oh, I can't sell any of those. As I pulled away, I realized the vehicles in the parking lot were present for the same thing: to repair or remedy the problem with the gas pumps. Either way, I won't be returning anytime soon as it also became clear that this place probably shouldn't be open, is only taking cash to avoid precautions put in place to protect consumers, is clearly avoiding the GOVERNMENT, and probably knows nothing of taxes.
