Terrible experience. It was so hot in the restaurant. I inquired about the vegan pancakes waitress went to ask if they were available...they were not. I then asked about vegan chilaquiles...which they also DIDNT have. Then she came back again to notify me that they DID NOT have vegan burgers, 1 option available for the vegan menu which wasn't even a "meal" which was hummus. the waitress then proceeded to come back to let me know they also didn't have the ginger shot I requested. My boyfriend and friend both received their meals. It took them 15 min to bring out my sad hummus. Will never come here again. read more

This place is incredible. I passed up an exclusively vegetarian place for Alma Verde and am so glad I did. The food is healthy, interesting, freshly prepared and beautiful. Instead of offering soy-based items, They specialize In vegetables. I had an excellent roasted cauliflower dish and homemade fried sweet potato chips with pistachio pesto. Neither dish was what I expected but but were delicious. The portions, however, are quite small. They are called main dishes but are really like tapas or sides so you need at least 2 or 3 to fill up. The food and atmosphere is excellent. I can't say enough about he food. It's very healthy, unique, and with an amazing presentation... the biggest disappointment is the young untalented servers. They take forever to greet you , take your order and you always have to go out your way to get their attention if you need something extra like a stew or salsa. I really hope the owners/managers read this because the service takes so much away from the excellent food and that's the only reason for putting f4 stars. I'm am sure several people feel the same way and have the same complaint about the service. I'm not saying the servers are horrible. I came here for breakfast on a Saturday with my girlfriend on the recommendation of my parents who frequent the place. We found parking easily, although I also noticed that they have valet as well. We were given our choice of seats, and a server was around to take our order shortly. Alma Verde is exactly the type of hassle-free experience that you want in the morning. My girlfriend was starting to get hungry already, so she got a Very Berry Smoothie to tide her over while her chilaquiles de cacao (mole chilaquiles) with a side of chicken was being prepared. She thought the smoothie was great, and the chilaquiles even better. She's a big fan of mole, but she had never tried chilaquiles before so a big thanks to Alma Verde for making her introduction to chilaquiles a superb hit! I opted for an Active juice which was excellent as well, and the chilaquiles verde I ordered were perfect. In fact, they were just too good that I practically mauled them before I thought to grab a picture. We also noted that the chilaquiles came with a generous serving of avocado (no extra charge!). When it came time to pay, I realized I hadn't exchanged money so I paid in USD without any hassle. I even received change back in USD which was a nice touch. I would still recommend exchanging if you can (of course)! We also received a paper survey to fill out at the end of our meal asking about the service, hygiene, food, etc. so you can tell this place is incredibly committed. Amazing regulations to deal with COVID! They had scannable menus on their tables and the tables were far apart from one another. Had very good vegan options, my sister wanted the vegan chilaquiles and I just got the oatmeal with almond milk. Both dishes were amazing, and I will be visiting again soon! read more

Absolutely Delicious! I was debating between getting a poblan salad or the apache sandwich. I ended up getting the apache sandwich, which was by far the best sandwich I have ever eaten! Bacon, a paste made with olives, almonds and capers, avocado, lettuce (which looks like the grow there), swapped the Mozarella for their other cheese "queso real de castillo" and it was magnificent! Even the chicken nuggets my kids ordered were delicious. They also have two salsas, i cannot eat without something spicy, these salsas did their purpose! I had the chilaquiles and pancakes. The chilaquiles were good, but I was a little disappointed with them. The sauce they prepare for the chilaquiles is too spicy and I don't eat spicy food. I think they should also offer non spicy chilaquiles as an option. The pancakes tasted like churros and I was not impressed at all. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and perfect! I also tried one of the green juices which was very refreshing. Overall, it was ok. I don't plan on returning, unless a family or friend makes the suggestion for it. I love this place but I had to go down a star because the service is terrible. The people are nice and well-intentioned, but they are VERY unorganized and have no clue. I have been coming here for years and unfortunately, my favorite people aren't here anymore. The waiter- clueless. It took him 15 minutes before he even greeted me- the hostess came and asked. The cooks are fantastic! My food was delicious, after I had to get up to get my own utensils, because again, the waiter was so bad. He went to give another table who didn't even have their food out utensils, but here I was waiting for 20 minutes with my plate in front of me and he wouldn't even look over my direction every time he passed me by- I finally just got up and got them myself. It was our first time there and we asked a few questions about the menu to which he had to go to back and ask every time we had a question. Food was delivered in a decent amount of time. Restaurant was cleaned and so was the restroom. Fair prices. Our family ordered 6 entrees and only one of them was good. I ordered the very berry smoothie which I do recommend. Valet parking is available and cheap. Although the guy scratched my car as he made a u-turn on the curb. I'll come back to give this place a second chance to explore the menu before I make up my mind. Two stars because the waiter was nice.
