Came in while waiting for a flight and had the MOST DEVINE lemon drop martini I have ever had! The bartender Daralyn was fabulous, a true mixologist!!! If you have time, you HAVE to treat yourself! Daralyn took the time to talk me through how she makes the most refreshing and balanced cocktail, she's a gem!! 10/10

If I could give six stars just for the service, I would: our waitress was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and most important - a good listener. One of my 7-person party had a food allergy - this waitress listened, asked questions, and then checked with the kitchen staff before offering options. The food was savory, from start to finish. The Salumi board was our appetizer - wonderful selection of cured meats, cheeses & veggies. I could eat one of these as an entree, but it was fun to share. I selected the rigatoni with Italian sausage & the spicy vodka sauce. Quite nice: 9 out of 10 for that dish. 3 members of my party also had it: nothing was left over. Two daughters ordered the A9 burger; both loved it and I took a bite, too. Dessert time...oh, so amazing. I had the lemon berry cake - heaven could not taste more sweet. I also sampled the vanilla bean creme brulee, which most of my party chose: another savory delight. And one daughter chose a chocolate smores cake: she loved it. And let me say: this was our first time here: we plan on returning!

I have no idea what people are talking about when giving Alma Nove less than 5 stars. This is one of the best Italian spots I have been to. First of all the restaurant is clean, crisp and modern-classic right next to the water. This is a great date night spot. I would recommend making reservations. Our server was extremely attentive and gave us a lots of recommendations. We were celebrating the finish of a work project so we went to town! As an appetizer we go the oyster which were extremely fresh and disappeared in 5 seconds. The meatballs were extremely juicy and were laid out on a whipped ricotta that was a lovely complement to the meatball. Calamari was crispy and not greasy. The watermelon salad was nice to have a fresh salad to go with all the hot appetizers. We got 4 different pastas to share. You MUST order the gnocchi. My coworker customized his gnocchi and got it with the bolognese sauce which turned out incredible. The gnocchi was so soft, it was like eating a cloud. We all agreed it was the best gnocchi we ever had. Please order the gnocchi, whether it was the special on the menu or if you make your own!! Each pasta dish was great, but the gnocchi was the one that stood out! As the "Secondi" dishes we got the chicken and duck. Both were extremely flavorful and it was nice to break up the pasta with some protein. For dessert we got 4 and shared. The best was the chocolate s'mores cake but I believe this is seasonal. They do change their dessert items, so you might not be in luck next time you go there. Overall, the food was so flavorful and delicious and the service was outstanding. We even got the honor of having the owner Paul Wahlberg to come out and say hi to us. He told us a few stories and was an extremely down to earth gentleman. We all had a lovely time and that was definitely the cherry on top.

The mussels were out of this world-excellent sauce! The special beef tacos were fabulous with a combination of crunch and good smoke flavor. The service team worked together to care for us as we enjoyed numerous courses. The espresso next to Bailey gelato with fudge AND homemade chocolate chip biscotti topped us off! Plus the view of the harbor and the famous owner, who graciously spoke with us and gave us tips in Hull, our next destination. I highly recommend this establishment!

Beautiful place right on the water at the Hingham Shipyard. The small but cozy atmosphere is perfect for date night. I love the story of the famous local family behind this spot! Most recently I came here for my husband's birthday. I ordered the truffle bubble martini, which is a show stopper! There is an actual bubble on top of the martini which pops into a cloud of smoke. It was really cool as I was not expecting that! We started with the meatballs and mussels. The meatballs were delicious but surprisingly small. The mussels were fantastic; large portion size with excellent broth and bread. I couldn't stop eating them! For my entree, I ordered the short rib and omg you didn't need teeth to eat this meal! The meat just melted in your mouth and the mashed potatoes were perfect. For dessert, we shared the affogato and it was dreamy. The homemade biscotti was my favorite part; so soft, warm and comforting. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for a special occasion!

If you're looking to have a great dining experience in a beautiful area with a great view, this is the place. This is a modern Italian-Mediterranean spot from the Wahlberg brothers offering a chic vibe with harbor views. Elegant decor. As I parked and walked toward the restaurant, I couldn't help but take a moment to look out at the harbor and admire the beauty around me. The food! The food was phenomenal. As a group we ordered the following appetizers; Wood-grilled Octopus, Italian Beef & Pork Meatballs, Oysters and Fried Shrimp. All great! I ordered the Buttermilk Marinated Bell & Evans Chicken (cornbread, chorizo & sweet corn bread pudding, sofrito, pan jus) as my main course. The chicken was so tender and the cornbread was perfection. Just the right amount of everything in this dish. A must try. They have a great dessert menu and full bar. The service was great. Very attentive staff. Everything about this place was great and I hope to go back again one day soon. Hints: Ask for the bread Get there before sunset to enjoy scenery

I came to Alma Nove for lunch with two friends this past Saturday. We had an all-around pleasant experience. The service was excellent, the ambiance was sophisticated and classy with the white tablecloths and waterfront views, and most importantly, the food was fresh and delicious. I would give Alma Nove a solid 4.5 stars, but since half stars are not an option on Yelp, I'm giving them 5. I deduct half a star because the menu did not have much variety (for an Italian restaurant, I'm surprised they don't serve eggplant/chicken/veal parm) and the portions could have been a bit more substantial. I ordered the Shaved Brussel Sprouts Salad which was advertised as an entree size salad, but it was pretty small even after adding some chicken, so I ordered the Italian Beef and Pork Meatballs from the appetizer menu which rounded out my meal nicely. I would definitely come back here! This is a nice spot for a date night or a get-together with friends or family.

Been going to Alma nove on special occasions for a few years now and I can say I have NEVER had a bad experience. The food is to die for. Absolutely delicious, everything on the menu!! Yesterday I got take out bc I was craving there mussels and I was skeptical of getting mussels through take out but I will 110% be doing this again. They packaged them up with care and they were sooo amazing. If your looking for a great dining experience choose Alma Nove!

They recommended their favorite items on the menu that made it easy to choose what we were going to get. Awesome outdoor patio with views of the water.

The lasagna appetizer was bad and I don't mean just bad. It was rotten. I don't know who's doing the cooking, but this food is subpar

I didn't understand the hype then, and I especially do not understand it now. My taste may have become more discerning in the last six years, possibly because I am no longer a broke college student. Then and now, Comella's was fine; it wasn't the flip-flops served by a place that rhymes with "Abdominos," but at the same time, it was absolutely nothing to write home about. My friend is less adventurous than I am, so we settled for mozzarella sticks and a cheese pizza. I was there primarily for the company, not the food. The mozzie sticks were OK. They had a decent crust/breading, and the cheese had some stringiness (that "grab on and pull"). They could have used more herbs/spices in the coating to liven them up. Similarly, I found the tomato sauce a bit bland. These feel like a middle-of-the-road store brand prepared in the air fryer. (Not saying that's what they do, just what they feel like). The pizza is similarly lackluster. The crust is nicely thin, with a fair amount of cheese and sauce that stays in balance with the crust. However, the tomato sauce was dull, and the cheese was plain mozzarella. While trying to avoid sounding like a broken record, some herbs or garlic powder would have been amazing. Also, considering how quiet it was, the service could've been more attentive. The calculus for a broke college student going with the flow and someone having graduated is different. While I definitely wouldn't have minded Comella's in my college days, now I don't feel the pull to return. While there was nothing glaringly wrong that would reduce their rating to two stars, there is nothing remotely special to have me choose them over the tens, if not hundreds, of similar places closer to me.

Very clean, comfortable, well lit and plenty of parking. Excellent service from the start. Greeted at the door and seated in a booth each time we visited. Wife and I visited 2 weeks ago after one shopping at the Shipyard. Looking forward to the pre-meal popcorn. Our waitress, Aimee, was superb. Attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. 5 stars service. Ordered the Prime rib rare. Tasty and cooked to perfection with plenty of Au jus. Wife had the chicken salad. Fresh and tender chicken. Again visited last Wednesday with grandkid who wanted the favorite Mac and cheese as well as take advantage of "kids eat free day after a Red Sox win." Again service was 5 star excellence by our waitress, Erin T, who was attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. Again food was prepared to perfection this time ordering the ground sirloin special rare and rare it was unlike most places servicing medium. Plenty of mushroom gravy. So good! Absolutely delicious. What's even better, 5 stars with budget friendly affordable prices. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to this 99 Restaurant very soon for sure.

The other day, We went to this location we got the fried chicken that was so salty. It could stop you dead in your tracks with a heart attack and I got the baked stuffed shrimp. Which the stuffing was good but the shrimp tasted foul. The waitress said they come in fresh/frozen and we defrost them. ( all shrimp come that way.) So I return that & got the turkey tips. They're not really turkey tips. They were more like thickly sliced turkey And it says they're grilled and they're not grilled. They just have barbecue sauce on them, but they were OK. The waitress was super super sweet and very very efficient. They do serve popcorn prior to your meal which used to be just expected now it's just a nice treat. My ultimate goal would be to eat my meal the same time as my company.

$12 for a small cheese pizza from a chain??!! $17 for a large pizza? $12 for a steak and cheese…read moresub? I get that in 2022 we are in a period of inflation, but this is crazy! We're talking 30% price increases from one year ago ... and the quality has gobe DOWN since a venture capital group bought the brand! This used to be some of the most consistent pizza in New England. Its one of those places you miss more for nostalgia sake when you are away because you grew up eating it ... and it wasn't bad. When I moved back east from LA to escape the crime LA is now famous for, I loved Papa Ginos because it wasn't the sweet ketchup sugar sauce and bread-like sauce that most New England pizza joints are known for. The sauce has a little zing and the cheese doesn't taste like bulk bagged mozzarella. You could get a small for $7 and a large for $11 and there were usually coupons. Now, even with a 20% off coupon, you are paying gourmet pizza prices for essentially chain pizza. After seeing these price increases, they just lost me. I'm not cheap ... I will pay for artesinal quality ... but this isn't that. Good luck getting what used to be sit-down/homemade restaurant prices for inconsistent chain restaurant food Papa Ginos. This is what happen when large beancounter companies take over local ones.
