Maryanne is just the best person and colorist, especially since I was having a hair crisis, you know the kind when you have spent three days going "I hate what my hairdresser did" and you don't want to go back to them for fear of either offending them or having them do something worse... Maryann had been cutting my very picky boyfriend 's hair and he loved her so I dropped by and she told me what she could do to fix the problem and even offered to stay late that night to accommodate my schedule. Brittany did a great job with my brunette & caramel balayage. I came in with a few photos of what I wanted. She NAILED what I was looking for. She was extremely reasonably priced and the salon itself was really cute. There was even fresh coffee (which is a huge bonus for an addict like myself). She took her time, listened to me talk about my hair (it's fine/fragile and can take color super fast, so no heat when coloring). She gave me an amazing experience as a first time client. I will be heading back for sure! Also, she was much easier to get an appointment with (about 1.5 week lead time for color & cut). Comparatively, when I called the salon recommend to me in Missoula, the stylist was booked until Sep (it is late July) & she charged almost 50 dollars more for the same service - more expensive than Phoenix Salons!! Recently moved to Hamilton from Idaho, December 2018 to be exact. Inquiring into Medical, Household services and so on, the most important of course is where would I get my hair done now?? Mind you I had a magnificent stylist in Idaho. Brook Thayer at Two Rivers Salon took care of my locks for 2+ years. So one very snowy day in January 2019 I decided I wanted to get my hair done, and wanted it done that day! Hahahaha so I went onto Google and saw several several salons and make my choice. I dove to the salon (Not Allure) I thought it would take me that day, well it actually seemed it did not want any clients or make an appointment for me. So now feeling discouraged I drove back home and as I approached the intersection of HWY 93 and Golf Course Road, driving very slow due to the snow out of the corner of my eye I see an open sign and ALLURE SALON. Yep I immediately pulled into the parking lot and went inside. Oh my gosh this beautiful and genuinely welcoming lady MARYANN invited me in and we discussed my hair, and she even called my prior stylist in Idaho to see what she had been using, WOW who does that?? I was speechless and grateful. I made an appointment for the following day and well the rest is history! Went in for a touch up and cut/style. Stylist did not listen to what I was asking and ended up melting/burning/over-processing my hair, cutting it no where near the way it was supposed to be cut. My hair is completely ruined now and was refused a refund. read more
