However, the lack of action from management has been incredibly disappointing and frankly, heartbreaking. Since April 1st, our now 14-month-old daughter has been bitten over 10 times. Of those bites, four broke the skin, one led to a thumb infection that she's still dealing with today, she was bitten twice in one day just two weeks ago, and today, she was bitten in the face. We know toddlers bite--it's developmentally normal--and we were more than understanding of a couple of incidents. But at this point, she is sustaining bites every week, sometimes multiple times per week, and it's gotten to the point where we fear for her safety every time we drop her off. After about the fifth bite, we brought our concerns to management and were told a "plan" was in place and that they were working with the parents. We're now almost a month out from that conversation, and nothing has changed. In fact, the bite pattern has gotten significantly worse. The bites now take nearly a week to heal, and because she's being bitten so often, she constantly has visible bite marks on her little body. Today, I got a call at work saying another child had bitten my daughter in the face. HER FACE. This is the 10th or 11th bite since April 1st. My husband went to speak with the office, expressed our concerns, and let them know our daughter would not be returning. He was met with, "I'm sorry you feel that way." Sorry we feel what? That our daughter isn't safe in your care? That we feel awful dropping her off each day, wondering what new injury she might come home with? That we expect better protection for babies who rely entirely on you to keep them safe? That response told us everything we needed to know about how seriously our concerns were being taken. We are devastated to be pulling her out of a place where she truly loved her teachers, but we can't keep her somewhere that fails to protect her and dismisses repeated, serious concerns. Please take this into account if you're considering this facility for your child. I do want to sincerely recognize Eva, Jill, and Maddie from the infant room, and Nadia, Anya, and Abi from the toddler room. These women have been phenomenal with our daughter. They are the reason we stayed as long as we did. They truly love and care for these kids like their own, and they deserve far better support from leadership.

KinderCare Wexford is the most poorly managed daycare I've ever seen. My spouse and I had our son…read moreenrolled in a KinderCare in Sterling, VA where he was happy. When we relocated to Pittsburgh last year, we figured the care would be similar when we transferred him into this KinderCare. We were so wrong! The worst thing is the director. She sends emails at least once (sometimes two or three times) a week asking parents to keep their children home. If she doesn't get enough "volunteers," she will close your child's classroom for a day - or two days - or even three days a week. The reason for these frequent closures surely cannot be that every teacher quits or calls off, but I believe she is a terrible manager, and good teachers leave or do not wish to work for her when she recruits. I fear she's created a reputation in the area, and good teachers aren't willing to take her job offers because she has created a hostile work environment. The children are the ones that end up suffering with all these frequent days off, and working parents (who are paying roughly $18,000.00 per year per child for the service) have to make snap last minute desperate decisions about what to do with their kids on a day that a room is closed. One time she sent at text message to parents at 8:10am. We had our son in the car seat, and we were on our way to the daycare with him when she closed his room with no notice. She appears terribly unfriendly, and we observed her wearing inappropriate political "Make Wexford Great Again" swag clothing to the parents' night. The center director's communication is awful, too. She frequently sends emails to parents with wrong dates and attachments, which causes confusion. Then she sends corrections that are still wrong. Usually she'll send a third message in all caps when she finally gets the dates, times, and spellings right. She even sent us one email that our son's room was closed, then proceeded to send a second email about a fundraiser within that very same hour. Who feels like giving anybody money when you're not getting the services the daycare promised? She also got us to sign up for Soccer Shots lessons on Wednesdays that cost about $130.00. That seems to be the day she closes our son's room most frequently. We paid for eight soccer lessons, and our son has only had one of them. When I asked for a refund on that, she ignored me. This place is dirty. They leave dirty buckets of mop water in the hallways on the rare occasion they actually use them. The kitchen isn't secured, and they have heating elements accessible where kids can wander in. The floors are filthy, and the kids play with toys that are falling apart. We decided on a new daycare center some time ago and only recently worked our way up the waiting list to where our son can start somewhere new next week. The last item is the curriculum. There is none. When other toddler classrooms are learning letters, numbers, and colors, the kids at this center are just being "babysat." At the other KinderCare center in Virginia where our son was enrolled, the teacher in the 12 mo - 18 mo room went over colors, numbers, and letters every morning. Now we get app updates that there is "free play" most of the day, some songs, and basic skills like changing shoes. If we were interested in this kind of babysitting, we'd be going to a non-academy setting that is far less expensive. Our son will be three, and he doesn't even recognize letters or numbers when we try to show him at home. My advice to anybody reading this is to stay away. KinderCare must replace this center's director, and new management must take over before anybody should be sending their children. I called their corporate offices to complain about the frequent closures, and the agent told me, "that's what we do." The agent suggested I call the regional director and gave me her number. I called twice and never received a call back. She only returned my message two weeks later, but we knew we were enrolling our son elsewhere by that point.

My first is in the gifted program…read moreand PPS; my second is fluent in reading at early elementary and my third is just soon to be entering preschool at Rainbow's End (attended since infancy). I love the relationships the teachers have with their students. The teachers and office staff go above an beyond to touch-base and connect with families. Their classrooms are fun, lively and connected. I love the playroom, library and neighborhood walks, water play, arts/crafts/routines. Amazing daycare!

We have now been at Rainbows End 10 months and are still loving it. My daughter is 18 months old…read morenow. She has moved to the young toddler room and does very well with the kiddos. They go on daily buggy rides outside. They also have a tumble play room inside that the kids love. In the young toddler room the center provides breakfast and snack. You pack the lunch. Each child has a cubby to keep their extra clothes and diapers in. We were going to take my daughter out of daycare for the summer because my hubby is a school teacher. She just loves it so much and we didn't want to get her out of the routine so we just decreased the amount of days per week that she is there in the summer. We still receive a daily report of how much she ate, diaper changes, and what she did all day.

Cara was very understanding and sent us pictures and plenty of updates on her first day. This daycare does more than just watch your child, they do learning through play! The kids get to go outside to garden and play with water. They even have an indoor playground (which is insanely amazing) for when the weather is bad. They helped make a Father's Day card/ mug for my husband which was a wonderful surprise! They're flexible with either part-time or full-time and the prices are the best you can find in the area! I couldn't recommend a better place.
