This place is epic for Bundesliga futbal. The energy is truly amazing from the pre-game partying at outside biergartens through to the tribal chanting during the match. Even if you're not a Bayern fan, this stadium is one that should be on your list to visit. A couple things to note: 1. If you're new to visiting the Allianz... buy seats in the Bayern areas. If you buy seats in the visiting sections, you will be walking an additional few miles as you can only enter through one gate which is no where near the parking or bus areas. 2. You cannot bring food or drinks/beer into the stands. Must be consumed in the concession areas. 3. Pre-pay your parking through the online service. Enter your car license plate and you can just leave after the match. No waiting in line to pay. The system will scan your plate and the gates will lift. 4. It is open air and some sections are exposed to weather so dress appropriately. read more

While being here for the NFL Munich game between the NY Giants and Carolina Panthers it was a great day. While for my four days in Munich I did not see the sun there was plenty of bright highlights on the trip. The stadium was nice. Transportation to the game was easy on there light rail system that takes you to the stadium. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station to entering the stadium and the NFL provided many fun activities and photo ops along the way. I had a shuttle bus back to the hotel from the stadium, so I missed the gigantic crowd trying to get back on the trains. The energy of the crowd was awesome and who could fault that the halftime show featured Machine Gun Kelly igniting the stadium with the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads". Been here before for soccer games. Pleasant surprise having NFL GAME day I arrived Munich. Not many from USA but tons of locals jumped on the bandwagon. They bought all the hats, jerseys, and shirts, and were crazy. Lots wore other NFL team stuff. Was not sold out but nice turn out. Only downfall is if you took the Metro it was a zoo getting back into Munich. They all partied in Munich afterwards and made for a nice festive Sunday evening which normally would have been dead this time of year. read more

It is work to get to the stadium by U-bahn. A million people are on the train, it is standing room only and you became more and more squished since it seems there is no limit to how many are allowed on. Then you pile out and have to walk about 1.5 miles to the stadium. Beautiful arena to see a match. Chairs are so close together that you can't help but touch and constantly be touched, so don't go if that's a bother. The dome is open to the elements in the middle. The Bayern fans are crazy and love their team. The end field has a group of hard-core chanters/clappers/jumpers/flag wavers going wild through the entire game. That was a little scary a little reminiscent of old documentaries I've seen. Game day was freezing cold (35 F with the wind chill), windy, and raining. We couldn't hack it and had to leave a little early. Great experience, but it would have been better with nicer weather. The only negative was the restrooms - a little beer and even women are pigs in the stalls. read more

I made the trip out to Bayerns stadium mainly because my dad is a fan of German futbol. The stadium is impressive as it the museum. I wasn't able to do the full stadium tour but I highly recommend and fan of the sport to make the trip and check out a bit of modern history. read more

This is such a fun venue! We saw a soccer game between Bayern Munchen and Herta Berlin. It is incredibly easy to take the metro to Frottmaning at the stadium, and walk across the bridge. There are ample restrooms, which were very clean. The snack bar prices were typical for a sporting event. We had amazing seats and the game was spectacular. I tried to be objective and not go straight to 5 starts because the experience was hopefully not, but probably once in a life time. I took the train from downtown. With each stop the ambiance grows as more fans board and the noise grows. These fans are intense and watching the Bayern Munich flags being waved throughout the whole game is a site to see. This game was last October, they did lose 3-0 to Mönchengladbach. It would have been nice to see a win, or even a goal, but what a great experience. A German beer and brat while watching a sport I love. Getting into the place was tough..sort of a funnel system with everyone pushing in. I did not mind the cigarette smoking in the stadium but in the close quarters of getting in, it was a bit much. You also have to put money on a card they provide to be able to purchase concessions, I always put too much and lose out in the end. read more

Wow! What an amazing stadium. That's all I have! Defiantly purchase the combo ticket to see the FC Bayern Museum as well. As part of that you will get a guided tour of the arena. The tour itself is fantastic. The guides were amazing and very witty. Even for none fans it is totally worth it. The tour will take you all over the arena, from the stands, to the grounds, the restaurants, and even the players dressing rooms. It is both interactive and informative. Plus it is just an amazing stadium. Try to see it at night as well. Its worth it. A must do while in Munich and make sure to the Museum combo ticket as well! read more

Amazing stadium and great experience to catch a match. From the outside Allianz Arena poses one of the most amazing football stadiums. The walk up provides plenty of photo opportunities and just the chance to take it all in. Beware however, once you go to enter through security you can't take in any portable batteries. I paid outside to leave it at the locker shed, but once we went to leave the match, the line was a mile long. In the end I decided just to leave the charger, it wasn't worth the hour wait. Back to the stadium though, the inside provides some great views of the pitch and obviously a great team. read more

If you have ever been to the Santiago Bernabeu's stadium tour, then the Allianz Arena's stadium tour will be a huge disappointment. The cost of the tour is 19 Euros and you get the following: 1) Go inside the stadium to the mid level and lower level to scream "Goal" to try out the rebound sound system of the stadium. 2) Walk into the press conference room where the coaches and players get interviewed by the press. 3) Main dressing room and the adjacent dressing room where the sauna is at and they show some cooking stations for the players. 4) The warming up room for the winter session. 5) The place where the players arrive and enter from their team buses 6) Standard trophy room tour However, the Santiago Bernabeu's stadium tour lets you get to the benches and you get to sit and take pictures. They let you roam upstairs of the stadium to take selfies and others. Basically, you get to see more for the same amount of price of 19 Euros. Even the trophy room of the Santiago Bernabeu is much more spectacular than the Allianz Arena. I'd only go for the tour if i was a true hardcore fan of Bayern Munich. Otherwise, I'd go for the standard trophy room tour and save the remaining for a much more awesome tour at the Santiago Bernabeu! read more

This is a review about the arena itself rather than the uninspiring fan base of FC Bayern ;-)) I was invited to a football match here by my team and was given the posh treatment in the corporate lounge. That was a special experience indeed. The arena itself is huge and super modern. The glowing skin that changes colour is a distinctive landmark that you can see from miles away and it looks amazing at night. The access points are large and the crowd super civilized. I felt like I was going to a tennis match rather than a football match. The corporate box area is posh with gorgeous tables and comfortable leather chairs, well dressed waiters and tons of food counters with everything from starters to dessert. The drink choices are also good and it was a really special experience. All in all a good experience and I am sure I will be back here one day. For now this one item is ticked off my bucket list ;-)) read more

This was the crown jewel of our last trip. We were able to attend the second leg of the Champion's League match against Arsenal (1-1, but FCB moved on to the quarter finals of 2014) and a 2-1 victory against Bayer Leverkusen. This awesome site is a good U-Bahn ride away and once you hit there, the walk is lengthy but not overly so. The beacon of the Arena is easy to spot once you leave the station. The walk helps build the excitement. A lot of empty space surrounded. The interior is simple and functional. There are many restrooms and snack/drink stands and the prices are reasonable. The sausages are delicious. The first beer station once you walk in the beer tasted super expired. I did not think this could happen in Germany especially at a place that goes through a ton of bier. The Paulaner at other stations seemed great, so I am not sure what was going on. Just a note. read more

A must for an soccer/football fan! The home of the 2006 World Cup is a huge modern arena that I believe seats close to 100,000 people. Located about a five minute walk from a U Bahn station, it is easy to get to. Since Bayern Munich was out of town the week we were there, we saw the second league team, TSV 1860 Munchen. It was an amazing environment, very lively and unlike most American sporting events. We beat Frankfurt 4-0 so we couldn't ask for a better result. The thing I didn't like about the arena was their payment system for the snack bars. You have to visit a special cashier and put money on a special payment card, as the vendors don't take cash or credit cards. Whatever money you have left, you need to visit the ticket office outside to refund (which, of course, was an extremely long line not worth waiting in for €2). I really liked the beer prices, which were €.20 more than a soda, which I thought was very fitting for a German game! read more

Went for a Champions League game during Oktoberfest. Don't expect to have alcohol in your beer during CL games. Aside from that the stadium was clean. People spoke English at the counters so it was easy to order. Do not try to drive, uber or taxi out of here. If you uber it there take the train out of the stadium. The taxi lines are a disaster and it's hard for the uber drivers to get out of the stadium. read more

Incredible arena with great potential but several Ux disappointments that distract. First, ATMs are sparse-- actually non-existent when you need one-- so bring (lots of) Euro with you. To buy food and drinks you have to wait in a line to buy a stadium card, then you pay with that at the concessions. If you are short or have too much money at the food stand, you are screwed. Lastly, they WON'T let you take ANY food or drinks/beer to your seats. WTF? We ordered a ton and had to scarf and chug and then throw stuff out to get to the excitement of the game. The stadium is neat, getting there was an easy train ride, but we left 10 minutes early to avoid the 20k or so folks waiting to take the train back. On top of that, the location is far from the Munich U-Bahn, so bring some walking shoes, you'll appreciate them. Refactor the food/drinks at seat rule and you're 4-stars. read more

The home of Bayern Munich is one of the best stadiums in the World, the atmosphere in the stadium is very good and going to the stadium would be fantastic if it is for a match, tour, to visit the large megastore or to see the Beer Garden, which is normally where you would go before a tour starts and they have a wide range of fantastic drinks at prices not as expensive as you would think. The Museum at the stadium is fantastic and going to the stadium is a must for all fans of Bayern Munich or just football supporters in general. read more

My friend was able to get tickets to a FC Bayern Munich game for a day when I was coming to visit Germany, not only is this the first major futball match I got the chance to go to it also featured the best team in Germany in one of the largest arenas as well, while we were there 75,000 fans were in attendance and it was a crappy, rainy day weather wise but that definitely didn't stop fans which says a lot about how passionate these fans truly are, the stadium has an open roof and it was pouring so we were cold and wet but that's just Mother Nature, the home team won so that's always good, the concessions made me realize that I wasn't in America for sure, the price of a beer and a bratwurst sausage with a pretzel type of bread was about 8 euro which translates to less than $9 dollars, I haven't been to an event in a major arena where I've been able to get just a beer for $9 so that was definitely a plus, the arena was loud and the views of the game were great, it also helped that we had awesome seats! read more

Whether you visit during a game of 1860 Munich or Bayern Munich it will be worth it. You can love them or you can hate them but I guarantee you´ll still have a good time at their stadium. You can eat anything from Bratwurst, Weißwurst to Pizza and Leberkäse. Before you can buy your food you´ll have to get a Arena Card outside the stadium. Everything is very well managed so you won´t wait in line for too long. All in all I´m not a Bayern Fan and I never seen my team win at Allianz Arena, but I always had a good time. So if you get lucky enough to score a ticket go and watch a game there! read more

Took a tour of the stadium, and it was worth it. It would have been very cool to see a match here, but I visited Munich during the winter break. It was still fun to sit in the seats, go in the dressing rooms, and visit the players entrance tunnel. The workout room was smaller than I imagined. You will do a lot of walking to get here, and during the tour. Take the U and follow the signs. Easy to find. One interesting fact I learned...just below the turf (which, by the way, is a combination of natural and artificial grasses...but I digress) is a heating element that doesn't allow frost to form or snow to gather in the winter months. And with the lighting system they have there, the grass was jolly green even in January! read more

By far the best stadium in Europe i have been to. Its HUGE stunning vibrant and a very simple set up in terms of getting in and out the bockwurst hotdogs are simply THEEEEE best ever!! And the pretzels are MASSIVE but very tasty there is loads of taxis outside the main entrance to get back to your hotel a must for any football fan. read more
