The staff at the Y club does not require IDs however, if you go in the staff at the front desk, always ask for a photo ID and will not take my safe at home ID, which is what I am required to carry. Every single time it's an issue and they have to call Courtney over. When you pick up for aftercare the gentleman that is always there sits at a makeshift desk and refuses to get up to come to your car to have you sign out your kids, not a big big deal but when you have an infant in your car all the time it's very inconvenient and I do not like leaving him in the car alone. I say this every single time and every single time he refuses to come to my car so I can sign the girls out. There have been a couple other instances and I'm hoping the school year just goes a lot smoother.

Food items vary week-to-week due to donations from local supermarkets, and occasionally restaurants, other retailers, and additional sources. Food items consist of boxed and canned goods, fresh dairy products, bakery items, and produce. Hope will try to accommodate special dietary needs such as gluten-free requests. Personal care products for infants and adults are provided according to availability. The program is funded by a group of local churches. There's no fee to those needing assistance and donations are not solicited.

I even cried in the office because of how much trust and connection we had built over the years. Unfortunately, that support did not happen the way I was led to believe. I was left trying to figure out work accommodations with very little notice while waiting for another daycare to open. I had to scramble for childcare and felt completely stranded without the support I expected. The scholarship assistance that was mentioned was another disappointment. When I followed up about it, I was told that nothing had been decided, which left me feeling like there was no actual plan in place. What hurts the most is that I truly believed this was a family and a community. Toward the end, it felt like once funding was no longer available, we were simply left behind. I don't know if I did something to upset anyone, but it has been incredibly disheartening to feel like someone who cared for my child for nearly three years and became such a meaningful part of our lives could walk away so suddenly. I am grateful for the years of care my son received, but I hope future families are given more communication, support, and consideration during difficult transitions.
