I was in possession of an ancient, run-down home video that was in the now vastly outdated VHS format; it was a movie that my friends and myself had made years ago, and while campy, it held a great deal of importance for me.
For some time, I was in search of someone who could convert it to a DVD format, both so I could watch it and also not worry that the tape would break and I would lose the content.
Initially I looked for anyone close to me who had the equipment capable of doing the conversion, but when I came up empty-handed, I went looking for any local business capable of doing the format switch; I encountered several places willing to do it, but with a price average of around $50.
It was through a couple of good friends of mine that I heard about Allati Photography, so I brought my tape to the business owner, Gabrael Allati, who charged only $35 for the same service, and even has the capability to repair damaged tapes.
Within two days, Mr. Allati called me to pick up my finished tape, which was high quality and had excellent sound for a video made back in the '90s with an enormous and unwieldy '80s video camera.
I cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Allati; he is exceedingly capable and friendly and offers a wide variety of services, including photo restoration and providing services for wedding photography/videography, and model portfolios. I will be returning to Mr. Allati in the future for photography services and more video conversions. read more
