I can usually check into my flight and get through TSA security easily in 10 to 15 minutes. If you don't have pre-check it may take a little longer. The airport was recently remodeled and expanded and functions really well. As you approach TSA there will be a Border Patrol agent who may ask to see your documentation. If you don't fly often, get familiarized with what is allowed in your carry-ons and prepare accordingly. It's frustrating when others in front of you have not done their homework, have not prepared, or think they don't have to follow the rules, so they hold up the lines for everyone else. Yes, going through security is a little inconvenient, but it's for our safety. The employees here have always treated me with dignity. The pre-check lane is open all the time these last couple of years. While pre-check people are not required to remove their belt, my belt buckle is a little larger than some as the belt is reversible. So I always remove it prior to getting in line. This airport still usually requires pre-check people to remove their computer and electronics from the case. It pays to ask as the rules change. Be respectful, follow the rules and you should have a smooth experience.

A bus station review? Well someone's gotta do it. Here's what you need to know about this bus…read morestation. -- It's clean! (bathrooms are mostly clean) -- Most of the signs and announcements are in Spanish -- Thankfully, Greyhound announcements are in English and Spanish -- They really only make one or two announcements so you need to listen up and get off that phone, sonny boy. -- It smells like Fabuloso and Subway -- Sometimes the card machines are down so have cash to buy your ticket if you haven't online -- They do have ATMs but the charge is obnoxious ($4) -- There are plenty of plugs to get a charge before you leave but they're not near the seats -- If you're bringing luggage on greyhound, you'll need to get luggage tags (like you would at the airport) and it's $15 for your second bag. I don't know if that pricing holds true for your third piece. -- Do arrive an hour early so that you're ready to go when the bus leaves. -- Bring your own snacks and water, unless you want to eat bus station subway (which seems ill advised.) With a station this busy, I think it would be easy to let it degrade to third world style bus madness but they've done an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.
