Hallways are congested and horrible to get to the next class. The staff is inconsiderate to students. They don't want to hear them out or work with them. Everything seems chaotic. Not enough to help the different personalities of many diversities of cultures. Although, many resources many especially new transfer students in a big school should have someone to show them around and introduce them to the many resources they have. The teachers are kind and very knowledgeable about what it takes to help students learn to the best of their ability. I saw students paying attention and actually LEARNING! I think it was the way the teachers kept their students' interests and the level of engagement in the classroom. I am particularly impressed with the friendliness of the staff- they are very approachable and I think that is important in a school community. I am excited to have found this school. ALSO I want to emphasize how much I love that this is a public charter school. Their curriculum is slightly different than a "traditional" public school. The teachers are given freedom to teach in more creative ways (I think that why the kids seemed more involved) - I looked at a great number of schools, but this one really impressed me. I am very excited about Golden Door.
