Nikki and her crew were great to work with. We were moving a lot of fragile antiques and she knew exactly how to pack and secure them for the long move. Everything arrived in perfect condition and we were never worried about our sentimental items. She brought a full crew and they were all careful, thoughtful and hard working. Nikki runs a tight ship which we appreciated. In addition to getting us moved she's been a wealth of information helping getting us settled in to the community. Hopefully this is our last move but if we ever have to move again she will be our first call!! read more

All Purpose Moving - Movers Near Me - Milledgeville, Georgia

Review is for Phone & Text interaction only... I had originally called, talked to Nikki, the owner, and scheduled a 9/24 pack and move date back on 8/24. However, between the 25% (up to 59% at look), and a very serious health violation, at my old place, I started looking for people (private + commercial) who could do a rush move. During all phone calls, Nikki was friendly, and professional. And, on the initial call, she gave me all the pertinent information that I needed to figure out how much it would cost me. She also responded promptly, in sending me her cellphone number, for text communication. I then asked, When will you come by for Estimate Review + Packing assist? And, she replied, Either this week, or next week. And, I always confirm before coming out. Well, at the start of the 3rd week, she hadn't contacted me. So, in calling back, she said, We've been super busy (glad to hear). And, I'll be there this week (9/14). Well, as of 9/21, still nothing. And, no call, or text, explaining why. Then, yesterday afternoon, 9/22, I tried to call and leave a message. But, the Mailbox was full. So, I sent a text cancelling the 9/24 move date. As of 07:15 this morning (9/23), I had not received a response (despite the voicemail message saying, For faster response, please text me at 478-...). In addition, all 3 phone conversations were interrupted, and closed early, due to workload. Other than the initial text, my subsequent texts (2) were never returned. :-( So, I had to call to confirm she got the text, cancelling 9/24. She did. Now, I'm pleased that her company is so busy. But, not to reply to a customer's text is not good. I don't care how busy a business is. You respond to customer calls and texts. I recommend calling early in the morning. As, any later time will go to voicemail. And, by the early afternoon, the Mailbox will be full. I will keep them in mind for a future move (probably will move again. Just not sure when). But, and unless the initial conversation includes quoted price for Pack Assist (I can live with $XXX.00/hr knowing that), I do hope that scheduling Estimates improve. read more

The best moving company i have ever used. Nikkie and her crew rocked our move today and set everything up for us as well. Seriously, if do not want drama then call Nikki. After my last experience with Atlas ( which was a huge mess) i was very concerned but she blew my expectation out of the water... So glad we found you all read more

This was the 4th mover hired in the past 3 years, and I was pressed for time. I neglected to get a price estimate or an hourly rate prior to this move and was very surprised when the bill was two and a half times what I paid 3 yrs earlier. I expected to pay 50 - 100% more, but not 250%. The company does not haul some items that most movers do, so I suggest you get an hourly rate or price estimate as well as a list of what is prohibited in the move so nothing has to be abandoned. It is my opinion you could get an equal moving company for less, so it would be best to compare costs among 2 or more moving companies. I accept full responsibility for not comparing costs or getting an hourly rate beforehand. read more

Nikki and her crew are without a doubt the best moving company I've ever used. They are so efficient and fast and so careful with your furniture and valuables. They provide extra protection for delicate items and special heirlooms. Nikki is incredibly organized and an incredible multitasker and has a large crew that gets the job done fast and well. I would do use them above anyone anywhere around my area for any move I would ever have in or out of town! She and her crew are all fun to work with, very professional and very pleasant to be around and listen carefully for any special requests that you may have. I trust her implicitly with anything I have! read more

All Purpose Movers were excellent! I found Nicki to be extremely efficient. I was worked into an already busy week (the week of July 4th). With a crew of 6 young men the job was done quickly and safely. Nicki was closely directing all the activity making sure things were moved correctly. What impressed me more was that they were smiling and happy. No grumpy employees! In addition, I had no front steps and was moving into a 400 sq ft space. They met the challenge with no problem. I highly recommend them!!! read more

Nikki & her crew are amazing! We were scheduled about a month in advance and ran into a need to move early due to an unresolvable situation with the sale of our home. The team rallied and got us moved earlier than scheduled. From meticulous packing to the great care taken with our belongings, it was a phenomenal experience and very well organized. read more

All Purpose moved our entire home yesterday. They were amazing! On time, polite, and quick all while taking great care of our things. Even prepared the nursery so our babies could sleep in their own room. Cannot say enough great things about Nikki and All Purpose! read more

This moving company is unreliable. Does not communicate well. Did not seem to find anything wrong with the extreme lateness in pricing or time frame. read more

Had a great experience with Nikki's crew when I moved here in October. Communication was excellent, they had a bigger move in the morning and they'd squeezed me in last-minute so while they were 2 hours later than expected, they communicated updates to me along the way so there were no surprises and I was very appreciative of their efforts. Nikki even brought an extra person to make up for the time, when it clearly was my fault for needing to book so last-minute -- awesome! Her team was pleasant, careful and fast -- what more could you want? It was a smaller, straightforward move (unloading a 12' truck, no grand pianos or delicate sculptures or anything like that) so I'm sure they could have done it in their sleep, but they still gave it their full attention. Employees seemed to be local college students who were polite and very capable. Will definitely use them again when the time comes. read more
