Don't go to these guys for a smog, not sure about the other services they offer but from my experience today this place has no knowledge on cars. I went in for a smog and keep in mind I have smogged this same exact car for the past 5 years exactly how it went in today. Never had any issues and never had somebody give me the excuse these guys gave me today. I was told my car didn't pass smog BECAUSE MY CATS HAVE BEEN WELDED ON. Anyone that has some basic knowledge on cars knows how stupid and ridiculous that excuse sounds. Catalytic converters either go bad or in some cases need to be removed if you need to swap out your transmission. What does this mean? That your catalytic converters have to be cut out/removed and then welded back on to put them into place. I worked for an exhaust/tire shop for for 5-6 years and can tell you that we welded hundreds of catalytic converters on cars. This is nothing new!! I was told by the smog tech at this place that I have to put the full stock exhaust back on for it to pass smog and MY WELDED CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE PREVENTING IT FROM PASSING SMOG. I understand this is California and we have all kinds of rules and regulations but this is NOT one of them. The bigger problem is that the manager/guy at the front desk agreed with the smog tech and didn't bother to argue it. That tells me that this entire shop has no knowledge on what they're doing. This review is for customer service only since I didn't get a smog check here. Pulled up to the place. It was empty. No cars. Just opened. Dude is standing at the ramp on his phone. Sees me coming continues to use his phone. Finally looks up when I'm about 10ft away. I give him the thumbs up basically saying "am I good, can you do this?" Reminder empty. Just opened. No one around. He shakes his head and turns around and continues to use his phone and walk away. I have a problem giving my money to people who work or own business that have horrible customer service skills and no respect for their potential customers. This door focuses on smog. The next door focuses on alignment. Brandon and his mate was informative, friendly and worked on the car right away. Cool clean areas to watch tv and lounge in. Was looking for a good place to get a smog here in Tracy that was not extremely expensive. Found All Pro Smog and i was really happy with the visit. Only reason for knocking it down to 4 stars was I arrived about 5 minutes to them opening and they did not arrive until about 10 minutes past the time they were suppose to open. This place is a tiny little shop tucked into the back of a parking lot. The employees working were very polite and worked super quick! I waited maybe 15 minutes. The lobby/waiting area is very clean with plenty of seating. Pricing is very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back anytime I need a smog. read more
