Shortly after it was determined my dog has parvo and had to be put down. I was then offered a dog for my troubles and the facility most likely being at fault. I was then rejected a new dog. The owner stated she was up all night cleaning her kennals after event and throwing away many items so other dogs don't get parvo. Owner started she would not be doing her puppy starter program anymore. I observed that shortly after she started accepting puppy's to her facility again. A friends dog was there at the same time and came back finished. Dog could retrieve a bird it marked and that was about it. I have also heard of some dogs running away well at facility and lost at owners expense.

However, when we went to pick our dogs up yesterday we found that blue ribbon had blocked the driveway to the kennel meaning we could no longer drive up there and load the dogs in the car safely. Instead, we had to drag their cages across a parking lot that has a busy freeway just a few yards away. The Blue ribbon employee told me emphatically "I won't help you load your dogs". This despite the fact that my wife and I are both obviously handicapped and I had my arm in a sling. When we finally got the dogs loaded, they were frightened and I was shaking from the stress. This was totally mishandled on their part and the employee that did it should not have a job there. I don't trust Blue ribbon with my dogs anymore, if they employ people like this and don't discipline them then they'll also abuse my dogs. I love my dogs too much to put them in this kind of a place and I hope you do too.

We have endured incredible hardships with our oldest dog, she was paralyzed by a vaccine and we went to great lengths while living in Chicago to get her back to walking. Now that we live up north, the team at NAH is very aware of her past medical history and takes extra precautions with our girl. We also recently added two more dogs to the mix, so we happily have all the pups under one roof for their medical needs.
