Although the best parts have usually been stripped, theres always a chance that amongst the scores of cars you'll find what you need, and give another life to at least part of one of the cars put out to pasture.

And sometimes hate it at the same time?…read more There have been times in the past where I've had a great time grabbing exactly what I was after (old toyota diffs and that sort of thing), and other times where the 'new' wrecks have had everything useful taken away. There's nothing worse than spotting that elusive rare early 1980s car that you've been looking for for ages, then when you finally get to it, that particular part that you're after is the only thing missing. It's happened more than once to me, and it's frustrating as hell. Anyway, it can be a productive way to spend an afternoon.

Admission fee is $2. The car selection at this Pick-A-Part is better than the Campbellfield Pick-A-Part if you are looking for a more specific, and their Utility/4WD section is somewhat better. The cars are sorted into sections (by brand or by genre if the brand is less common). Parts prices are the same as the one at Campbellfield. They also sell cheap used cars (but with no registration or Roadworthy) Staff were good on the day that I went, although YMMV depending on the day you go. Parking is plentiful, Public Transport access is complete garbage but that's to be expected. I would come back to this yard if I needed to.
