I came here for my third time to get my STAR station smog check for DMV vehicle registration renewal. I showed up at 10 AM on a Tuesday without an appointment. There was one person ahead of me, so I had to wait about 15 minutes for my turn and then another 15 minutes for my vehicle to be done. For my car it was $41.75 for the smog check + $8.25 for the state certificate = $50 even. It came out to $40 when I used the Yelp discount. About as cheap as you can get, from what I've found, which is why I keep coming back. read more

Was looking for a place to get my fiancee's car smog for California and most business' on a Sunday were closed. However, via yelp this place was available on Sunday till 5pm. After, reading a handful of reviews on this place, I decided to give this place a try and I called before heading over there since some of the reviews mentioned that this place closes early at random times. I'm so glad I called first because the owner mentioned that he was done for the day at 3pm and will be closing early. And he wasn't busy at all so there is an opening to get a smog check/ certificate and he had mentioned to come asap. Upon arrival this is a small business. 1 large garage and 1 small waiting area. The waiting area even though small it was clean and had cable TV. There was one person ahead of myself but they were about done and within 5 mins the technician began his process for smog check. Within 10 to 15 mins we were out the door. Car smog with smog certificate ready all for $41.76 with yelp check-in. will definitely refer this place but a note before coming make sure to call first because of random early business closure. read more

Not only did he get the part number wrong during my smog, but he had the audacity to ask that I pay for ANOTHER smog because HE made a mistake. His handling of the smog was so ignorant that I whole heartedly believed he got incorrect information, which led me to finding the correct info...stamped on the part...in plain view. He disregarded the fact that he made the mistake and asked me to pay for it. Don't waste your time here...even if he does have a coupon. Moving to San Diego has been quite a learning experience. All these new fees and laws just to get your car registered with the state has been such a hassle. Luckily my fiance' has been such a big help through this process. We came here to All Autos Smog via yelp. Since it was a high rated business that was open on Sunday. We called to make sure this place was still open and thank God we called because they were closing earlier. We made our way there and it is a small shop with a garage and a waiting area/office. The technician was already busy with a car ahead of us but quickly acknowledge our presence. As soon as he was done with the technician quickly brought in my car for a smog test. My fiance and I waited in the office which has a TV, small area, but clean; and within 15 mins the technician was done got my first smog certificate and paid a great price with yelp check-in.
