Already have a birth partner? Great, but I would still recommend getting a Doula. My husband was with me the whole time, but it was so helpful to have someone else be able to help us navigate it all. I had done tons of research beforehand, but remembering it in the moment is not nearly as easy as you would hope. They also brought to light several decisions I could make about the experience that I didn't even know about (vitamin K shots, delayed cord clamping options etc). My pregnancy was very smooth in the beginning, but got a bit rough at the end with gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and pre-eclampsia; I was so grateful that I had Meagan and Kirsten to help me through this - they checked in on me regularly to see how I was doing and were happy to answer and questions or assuage any fears that I had. Overall a fantastic experience and I would hire them again without hesitation.

You must use a credit card or have exact change. The building is well marked and has many services ranging from Rheumatology and Pain Clinics to a Grief Support Program. There is an aptly named Point of View Cafeteria that overlooks Calgary beautifully. I haven't had a chance to sample the menu but it is a peaceful spot to study or take a break.

She is a very compassionate professional but I somehow felt less cared for than at Riley maternity clinic. She was also supposed to call to check on me after the delivery and never did. I know they get very busy but unsure why they would tell you that if they simply don't call. That clinic sounds a little like a walk-in clinic where they are very professional when you are there but forget about you the moment you leave the clinic. They also tell you that you can call or send them an email with any question you may have but won't ever pick up or respond to emails... I'll say go with Riley's instead.

They offer all kinds of services from massage to nutrition counseling, personal training and even genetic testing and counseling. I just needed a massage and was pleased at how bright and open main lobby was. Right on time, I met the therapist Natalie and she walked me into the little massage room. It's important to know that Inliv is not a relaxing/zen spa but a more of a rehab/sports facility. The room was clean and lovely but it was more like a doctors office than a spa, something I was more than happy to see. I was in some pain and needed a real massage, not a 60min nap. Natalie was fantastic! The massage was great and hit the areas that were really sore and tense. Natalie was really thorough and I got the full 60min. I paid for. The reason I'm only give Inliv 3 stars is that the booking procedure was a nightmare. They cancelled my appointment 2 times, both times within 48 hours of when I was meant to come in. Both times they rescheduled me for over week out, I was in pain and I thought that was really unprofessional. They made no effort to get me in right away even though the cancellations were both their fault. I was really understanding but was expecting something when I came in for being flexible, maybe a free thing of vitamins or a water bottle or anything would have been nice. No one even apologized for the mix-ups which I thought was weird. I was also disappointed when I left the appointment. Natalie and I had talked about scheduling monthly massages and I was expecting when I went to pay that the front desk girl would book me in for the next one. She made no effort to ask if I wanted to book my next appointment and since then I've heard nothing from them at all. As a new company that is based on repeat business I'm shocked at how little they tried to keep me. A proactive approach would do Inliv wonders. I really liked my massage therapist but the thought of rescheduling has prevented me from calling back or recommending them to others.

My experience with INLIV has been extremely disappointing, particularly when it comes to client service and retention. When circumstances changed and the physician I originally joined INLIV to have ongoing care with was no longer going to be available, I requested to cancel my membership and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion. Rather than working with me to find a reasonable resolution, INLIV's position was that because my membership technically remained active, they were not prepared to refund the remaining fees. What I find most disappointing is the complete lack of a client-focused or retention-focused approach. For a premium healthcare membership that asks patients to make a significant financial commitment, I expected a much higher level of flexibility, communication and willingness to find a fair solution when the circumstances surrounding the membership fundamentally change. Instead, the experience has felt very transactional: the emphasis appears to be on retaining the payment rather than retaining the client. My advice to anyone considering INLIV is simple: read the cancellation terms carefully, understand exactly what happens if your circumstances or your physician's circumstances change, and consider paying monthly rather than committing a large amount upfront. That way, you are not potentially left fighting to recover money for services you no longer wish to use. A premium price should come with premium client service. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with INLIV.
