All About Seniors receives my highest recommendation - from its Owner/Executive Director, Lynn, through its nursing and homecare staff, to its administration. I have retained this team on 3 occasions -- to help support me and my elderly mother after springing her from hospital post- COVID, then again to provide support during my mother's last palliative weeks living with me; and then to assist me (a younger senior) after a radical hysterectomy. Upon my recommendation, my mother-in-law engaged All About Seniors to support her daughter (younger senior) after she had surgery - and she also raves about the help and peace-of-mind she received from Lynne and her team. My decision to release my mother from hospital was highly emotional and very scary. While I was determined to bring mom home, I was completely unknowledgeable as to what to do. Mom's isolation and physical inactivity after breaking a hip and then contracting COVID had accentuated her vascular dementia and Alzheimer's to where she was acting like a wild animal - she couldn't walk, she couldn't talk, she was eating with her hands, she couldn't control her bowels, she didn't know who I was, she was scared, she was angry and she had become very combative. I called All About Seniors one evening in a desperate panic after being given permission to bring mom home in a few days and learning that AHS could not help me with homecare for several weeks. Lynne responded within the hour, we then met with her Director of Nursing and they put a nursing and homecare plan in place. That plan and the supportive nature of Lynn and her staff provided me with sufficient confidence to bring my mother home to live with us. When mom was brought in the house, carried on a blanket, All About Seniors staff were standing beside me and immediately went to work to make my mother feel loved and cared for. No exaggeration - within 3 weeks, my mother was talking, eating on her own, back to wearing make-up and able to walk across our main floor with her walker. My mother was given back to me and to her extended family for several months. I give All About Seniors full credit for that. After we didn't need the agency for homecare, I continued to retain them for companionship with mom. After my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, her dementia grew much worse and she flipped day from night. She was hallucinating a lot and screaming out as she couldn't communicate her pain. The agency provided the most wonderful caring and trained women to stay with her overnight so my partner and I could sleep. My experience with All About Seniors spans at least six months so far. Throughout, my expectations have been continuously surpassed. I will engage them again in the new year as my own health challenges continue. In my opinion, they are the most wonderful, caring, trained people who will always do their very best. I trust them. read more

My father has Alzheimer's Disease and my mother is his primary caregiver. We use All About Seniors to provide some relief for my Mom as it can be overwhelming at times. Randy, ( the companion that comes and takes my Dad out), has become a trusted friend of my Dad and also provides valuable information to us about how Dad is doing and how Mom is handling things. Three of the four children live outside of the Calgary area and Mom is often not that forthcoming about how things are "truly" going so Randy's weekly report helps us keep tabs on both our parents health and well-being. When Randy indicates that things are difficult we will also get follow up from someone at All About Seniors in terms of a phone call further explaining Randy's concerns so we can take action. read more

All About Seniors provides wonderful service to seniors and their families. We used their services for five years and they provided mom companion care up until mom passed away. Staff there are all quick to respond to communications and everyone is thoughtful, kind and professional. All About Seniors definitely matched mom and her companion perfectly as they had a very special bond. Mom's companion ended up being a very dear friend for her and the family benefited knowing that mom was cared for in such a gentle loving way. My mother is in her 90s and we use All About Seniors caregivers to assit her with some of her daily house chores and provide her with some addtional company two days a week. We are most pleased with the level of service level provided by All About Seniors and more specifically our mother's caregiver Deb. Deb is always positive, caring and attentive with our mother. We routinely receive positive comments from our mother about Deb following visits to her home. I have been a companion with All About Seniors for almost 9 years now. I have always found Lynn and her team to be very helpful and supportive. I like the fact that it is a small family run business. Right from the beginning they found clients that were a good match for me. Over the years I have had many clients that become just like family to me. All About Seniors has wonderful caring companions who love to spend time with my brother who is in a long term care facility in Calgary. My brother has been very fortunate to have companions to take him on outings, swimming, for walks in parks, out for coffee, and to play pool - all things he really enjoys. as most of his siblings live out of town we rely on AAS twice a week . Julie and her staff are very sweet and go above and beyond to make sure my brother has his scheduled companion or finds a replacement in a pinch. I've worked for All About Seniors for 12 years. It's a caring company that helps employees be theor best. You can work as little or as much as you want. What I like most is that I've able to lean into my strengths as a social companion. The office staff are great about how they pair companions with clients. You're supported in the field; staff advocate for caregivers. The reporting system is really easy. I'm in my 60s now. I can see myself doing this for another 10 years. We've had a wonderful experience using All About Seniors for our mom who has a rare form of dementia. I appreciate the efforts made to find a good match for her, and we continue to use their services daily, to fill in gaps in her care at the nursing facility where she resides. Being long distance, it gives a lot of peace of mind reading their daily reports, since the facility typically only calls if there is something urgent. I've had companions going to my husband's Long Term Care home for quite a few months. They go in the evenings, three times a week. When my husbands eating habits changed, they both offered to go one hour sooner to feed him his dinner. Having these ladies be with my husband gives me a really nice break from going to the home.
