DO NOT RENT CAR FROM ENTERPRISE IN SPAIN…read more Made a reservation in the US a week before traveling to Seville, thinking the a US company would be more reliable and they cancelled booking two days later. I called and made another reservation before traveling to Spain and Enterprise called me once in Spain, the day before I was supposed to pick up car, to tell me they had no cars!!! Travel plans through south of Spain ruined!!! Asked to speak to regional manager and still waiting for call... Avoid yourself the hassle if traveling abroad and rent from a local company.

I wish I would have read the reviews prior to renting a car with Enterprise in Spain this past…read morefall. Their location at the Train Station is terrific, and they gave us a "free" upgrade. That's where the plusses end. Over the next 3 days driving in Portugal, the car stopped running three different occasions, usually on single lane hilly roads. No way around, blocking traffic. It seemed like it needed to cool down, then it would start again. The 4th occasion was on our way back to Seville when we pulled into a roadside stop. It would not start, so we had to call the "roadside assistance" number on our contract. Three hours and multiple calls later, he finally showed up and found nothing wrong with the vehicle, probably because it started right up. (Again, indicating it needed to cool down). He told us to take the car back to the facility we rented it from and request a replacement. We drove the car into the Santa Justa Enterprise, parked it and requested a different vehicle. The agent inspected the car, took some readings on the dash and without comment or question, gave us a different vehicle. The second vehicle also had mechanical problems, but luckily, a light came on and warned us of the need for a fluid. It was Sunday, but we found the Granada Enterprise 5 minutes before it was closing. Fluid added and on our way, with no more problems. Two months later, we receive a charge on the credit card for E120 (about $152) for "towing & storage". I've been fighting this with Enterprise, but it appears they are unwilling to retract the charge. My credit card company has been made aware and hopefully will resolve this matter. What a scam ... they seemingly don't maintain their vehicles and get the customers to pay for the maintenance. If I add up all the time the two vehicles cost us on our trip and my time in trying to get the charge reversed, Enterprise would owe me more than the car rental to start with. No matter how "reasonable" their rate may seem, it's not worth the hassle. This said, I have used Enterprise in the states repeatedly and have always had great service and no complaints.

FRAUD ALERT. This is a review for the Santa Justa- AVE location in Seville. They deliberately…read moredeceived us when honoring our reservation. We made a reservation on Budget.com directly and when we arrived at the office, we confirmed with the agen that we did not want any additional upgrades, insurance, driving aids, drivers, seats, etc- only what we agreed to when we made our reservation. I know many have this same old story- it's not our first rodeo and we've seen this before. The agent confirmed this, highlighting the area where these extra insurance fees would be denied and then crossing them off with the same highlighter, in the same sentence we he confirmed that the ONLY thing we were being charged for was the 300 euro deposit for damages, which would be refunded upon return of the car in perfect condition. We were aware of this requirement it was in line exactly with the ammount we were expecting to pay. So when a screen popped up for signature, we were not told we were signing for anything other than this deposit. You should know that when the screen appears, the customers cannot see what they are signing. I know your response- "read the contract before you sign" But here's the rub- you cannot SEE the contact. Further, we were denied a copy of the agreement we were signing in advance. The agent simply said new COVID-19 procedures prevent us from being able to receive a copy before signing but that one would be sent to us by email. When we returned the car in perfect condition on our scheduled return time, with a full tank as agreed, we had no reason to think our credit wouldn't be refunded. When it wasn't, we went to the office, with all our photos of the car to prove the condition when we returned it. It was at this time that we were shown a copy of the form which we digitally signed- the one we weren't able to see at signing. Only AFTER you're forced to sign can you get a copy of what you've signed. In our case, the agent changed our rental company from Budget to AVIS,increased our daily rate for the same exact car, charged us the insurance which you can see clearly that he crossed out, and the payment was never taken for the deposit, as they said. Further, they have not yet refunded the gas deposit that they charged us for, which was not part of the original deal but was on the new agreement they had us sign. Perhaps it's because they are aware of the fraud and the system is not designed to refund the gas. It's simple FRAUD. I have already filed the claim with my credit card company. There is at least some consumer protection but better to just play it safe and not rent here at all.
