Totally incompetent. Have been trying for 5 weeks now to view a house they have advertised on their website and rightmove etc. I have had excuse after excuse of why it cant be viewed yet and appointments cancelled all at the last minute. They do not return calls so you have to chase them all of the time. The whole company is a farce, they cannot contact their own employees or house owners. One hand doesnt know what the other is doing. Cannot even leave their office to get keys to hold a viewing, apparently it takes 2 people to sit in an office with not a lot going on. Use these if you like being given the run around. They do not deserve the fee they charge. Minimum service for zero quality. read more

My experience with selling a property through Platinum Property Services (a.k.a. Alison Dyson) was very positive. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional and they kept me up to date throughout the entire process. I felt like I could leave everything in their very capable hands. When the property in question received some damage Alison ensured the house was secured immediately and contacted me straight away to let me know of the situation. A total dissapointment. Arranged to view a property, I had to wait a week as the estate agent was busy which I have no problem with but other estate agents make viewings within the same week. Arranged to see the property at 10am, had a phone call at 9.30am to change the appointment to 10.30am, which is reasonable. Went to the property and waited 20 minutes, a no show by the estate agent. Went home and had a missed call from a mobile number at 10.35 (which I had left to view the property). I called the office who said she would be their in 5-10 minutes, so I went back to the property and waited 15minutes until I recieved a phone call. The phone call was the estate agents asking to change the appointment to Monday (It was Tuesday my appointment, so another 6 days!). I said no I do not want to see the property then and I was told I would be contacted once the woman gets back to the office to try and fit me in. Very unhappy. read more

Please do not go with this letting agent, I had a very bad experience with them, I was 7 months pregnant and they rented me a property. On viewing it was fine, however when I was given the keys and tried to get into the property the door handle snapped, I rang for 2 weeks on end, I kept getting short shrift and on moving in day I had to send my van away as the door had not been repaired and the back gate was a 6 foot high wall and locked gate so couldn't move in to the back plus back door too small for furmniture. I had to pay for the handle myself in the end, moving in the gas boiler was broken, there was no house insulation and there were holes all over the kitchen which had been covered before, there was also a big leak on the pipes under the sink. I rang and rang and rang for 3 days solid and was berated by their rude staff for wanting my boiler fixed, eventually a handyman came who said the boiler should be condemed but as a precaution due to being heavily pregnant he would temporarily fix it and showed me how to keep re-pressurising the system as it was leaking heavily!!!!! Alison Dyson was extremely unhelpful and rude and her staff are diabolical, I ended up in hospital with stress and nearly had a miscarriage, the staff did not care at all and I have since found out another person had the same experience with the house as I did. This is one company I would steer clear of, at lease renting wise, they will be good when selling a property as they make money out of you.. read more
