I was amazed that my husband was able to find this special hideaway tucked in the Rivera del Duero…read morevalley. It was meant to be a resting point when traveling from San Sebastian to Madrid, and it did not disappoint. We spent two nights and they managed to surpass all our expectations. This is a four star hotel with a five star service. True, they do not have a swimming pool or a spa; however, the personal attention provided by the staff is so wonderful that you will not mind not having those amenities. We dined at their restaurant both nights and we truly enjoyed the experience. Their food and service is worthy of a high end restaurant. The plates have beautiful presentation and wonderful flavor. The quality of their food is superb as they grow their own fruits and vegetables and everything else is made on site. They are also a winery, and a tour and tasting can be arranged if you request it. The tour was very informative and not too long. They have excellent wines and a wonderful cava, white and rose although I prefer the rose. We were able to ride bikes around the property and have drinks in any seating area we desired-truly like being home.
