I have had many a good night at Alia, mostly dancing, and mostly dancing around the pole that they used to have on the dance floor there. Unfortunately the pole is no more, having new owners, Alia has tried to change its image for about the 5th time in a vain attempt to get more people through the door. And this really does in essence explain Alia. It is like one of those desperate kids at school trying to get attention and willing to go to any lengths to hang out with the 'in crowd'.
Well I say to you Alia that your mum was probably right, you are cool and you shouldn't worry about what all the other mean kids say of you. I know that your bar lies unfilled with customers many nights of the week, and that you desperately try to attract upmarket bar goers, who usually end up being on their first date and being very awkward hence bringing down the vibe of the place further.
But really with your empty dance floor you should be trying to attract wannabe break dancers/pole dancers like me. I love going there with a bunch of friends and 'trying my many moves' out to entertain your washed up DJ's. And you know what? Your cheap jugs of cocktails are easily tempting enough for me to get over the awkwardness that is Alia, and rock your dance floor once more. read more
