Hi Folks,
Having just joined 'Yelp' and read many of the reviews, some which I find very informative but others quite offensive to say the least.
The reviews by Tilly D on Alexanders of Markethill I found very difficult to believe, rather soul distroying from Alexanders point of view and in my opinion far from the truth and deserves a positive response.
Having known the Alexanders for many years, from it's concept and development by Mrs and Mr Alexander, through very difficult and troubled times until present day when it continious to flourish under the management of two of the daughters.
Okey,so it may not be the cheepest in town but neither is Fultons in Boucher Road for example or many other similar outlets but it's still a family run business,it's clean, friendly, with easy access to all levels,a good selection of products and very helpful staff.
The restaurant,in my opinion does offer good value for money, and always has done offering top class food, it can't be that bad because the place is always full with visitors from North and South despite several other good eating places within the town.
In my honest opion the girls are doing a great job under very difficult times, your reviewer has indicated that he has visited it several times,if it's that bad why keep on going back.
As fas as I can see from reading many of his other reviews I don't think he would appreciate a good meal unless it was free or a big feed of greasy fish and chips.
Stop complaining and enjoy life a bit more while you can and give a bit of support to those who are trying their best. read more
