Seems like we shouldn't be placed in a situation where we are choosing between one office visit to get treated in sickness or putting food on the table the rest of the month or paying our mortgage in full or (ironically, paying our health insurance premium). I have learned from this that no matter how sick or how friendly the physician is, I need to get the financial disclosure in advance. Hopefully this doesn't lead to deferring treatment and ending up in the ER.

Rather than requiring him to come inside, the staff brought a selection of eyeglass frames out to our car, helped him choose a pair, and even measured and fitted him for his glasses while he remained comfortably seated in the vehicle. Because he is currently hospitalized in Gunnison and we will no longer be in town when the glasses are ready, they also offered to personally deliver them to the hospital. In a world where genuine customer service seems increasingly rare, the staff at Abba Eyecare went far beyond what anyone would expect. Their kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help during an incredibly difficult time meant more to our family than words can express. This is what outstanding patient care looks like.

She let me know of the situation extremely bluntly. I had been waiting months for this appointment. I was visibly disappointed and she said she would go check with the doctor, she got up and walked away shaking her head. So rude. When she came back she asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no thank you, I was upset and needed to regulate before creating a new appointment. She proceeded to start offering me other dates and times and I reminded her that I had said no thank you and it felt like she wasn't respecting my words. The doctor that used to be here was amazing, idk about the new guy, but this honestly sucked and this woman was extremely rude. I wish we lived somewhere with more options so I didn't have to come back. ALSO- I made the 10 minute policy and waited 3 minutes while she finished her call and was too late because of her call... Beyond the frustration of this interaction and not being able to attend my appointment, the way this woman treated me was extremely unprofessional and she is clearly in need of further training.

She spends adequate time at appointments and is the type of physician with the standards you expect from a doctor. Totally competent. I've seen her for a variety of conditions and still continue under her care, even though I don't live in Gunnison anymore.
