Alright, picture this. You've been invited to a guy's house and he says he'll whip something up for you and whoever else turns up. That's how going to Alessandro's feels like.
There isn't a menu, and there are no customisation options. Don't even try, you wouldn't do that at a dinner party without seeming like an entitled prat, right? What you'll get is a selection of antipasti including bean dishes, cheese and prosciutto, followed by a few pasta varieties and maybe a risotto. The main course is grilled meats, fruit, salad and roast potatoes.
You can finish off with a dessert of your choice from homemade classics and free-pours of grappa, limoncello and amaro.
The china is mismatched, the wine non-specified, and the view south toward Rome is brilliant. This is my kind of place. Hope its yours too. read more
