We were only ones in the restaurant and it took the waitress awhile to give us water, order, etc. Waitress also seemed annoyed by asking her to serve us. Alcohol is limited to wine and beer. Love coming here for hookah upstairs! Great vibe + cozy environment. There's live entertainment on the weekends which is really fun! Service is OK, but there is a language barrier with some of the waitresses, which causes a lot of confusion when ordering food. I was invited to a birthday party at the ground floor hall. Restaurant that was turned into a Banquet Hall had ample varoity of delicious mediterranean appetizers plus main course dishes. Seared tuna sashimi with seaweed and mushroom salads were one of the best to me! so is the barbecued lamb chops and beef, which to me was the same quality of beef I had in Argentina. I've been to this restaurant before and enjoyed freshly made food, cold-cuts and hot dishes - their food is really good! Recently though I decided to try catering from this restaurant. I don't usually do catering so was pretty skeptical about it. I've got to share that it was SUPERB! With only 2 days notice the plates were super-presentable and the food was amazing! All our guests were impressed and happy with the quality. So if you're looking to just relax on your events and enjoy home-made food without endless shopping, shopping, and cooking - I definitely recommend this place. Our group of 70 decided to celebrate New Year 2018 there. When making arrangements, everything sounded great, including menu, tables layout and the rest. We paid all cash upfront. We have been to this restaurant in the past and it was pretty good. These were private parties with about 70 -80 people total, which this restaurant accomodated comfortably. We were assured that there will only be 3 more small tables besides us with plenty of room to dance and move around. To our amazement, there were a total of 10 tables with approximately 160 guests. We occupied 5 of them. It was beyond crowded. The rectangular tables meant for 10, had 14 people with 2 sitting at the edge. The food was not even close to what was agreed upon. Not to mentioned that it was not enough for 14 and we had to ask for more as we ran out after only 4 people served themselves. The main course was so salty that it could classify as inedible. There was no side dish. Everything was limited and not much variety. Service was not good either. When dessert was served, dirty plates from main course were still there. Not only our group was unhappy, others were as well. There is a term of greedy, bur this was beyond this term. People, please DO NOT go to this restaurant. At least those at the New Years party will not, I am sure. Worst party ever. If I could give it a rating of negative stars, I would. read more

Last month, I was celebrating my own special birthday at Alegro Restaurant and it was a pure success! A birthday bash that I have dreamed of came true! The success of any venue highly depends on the place, food, service, decorations, entertainment and the festive mood of the invited guests. When my husband and I initially met Stella, Manager of Alegro, she was very personable, warm and professional. As she worked with me on selecting a perfect menu for my guests, she informed me of the presentation of their delicious food and the excellent service that their waitresses provide. Although I believed her on the spot, my husband took everything that she said with a grain of salt. During my party, everything that my husband, I and our guests (who were seated at my table) have tasted was absolutely delicious! There was not a single item on the table that I did not enjoy and I made sure to taste everything. Our waitress was wonderful! She was friendly, always smiled and continued to check on everyone at our table. However, I had not one but six tables of guests to attend to since it was a closed party, and Alegro provided three waitresses to service six tables. The very next day after my birthday party, many of my own guests (family and friends) contacted me to thank me and gave me feedback on how everything went. My guests were impressed and praised the quality of Alegro's delicious food and appetizing presentation of the variety of dishes. They also praised Alegro's waitresses who were very pleasant and attentive with my guests. They told me that the waitresses took the liberty and placed appetizers and hot food on their plates. The waitresses constantly filled my guests' glasses not only with soft drinks and water, but also wine. They truly provided superior service! Even my loving and skeptical husband said that Stella has delivered on all the promises that were made to us when we met her for the first time. I'm so glad to have met Stella there and she is an absolute darling to work with! On that first day when we met Stella, we also met Artur, Owner of Alegro, and he was friendly, professional and very accommodating to the needs of my party and our guests. I highly recommend Alegro Restaurant to anyone who wants to have a piece of mind that whatever is promised to them initially will be delivered at the party! New Years celebration 2020. Greedy owner. Mediocre food. No planning of the New Year's celebration, just wanted to collect the money. Place was overbooked by at least 100 people. No place to dance. They had to put additional tables on the dance floor to accommodate pissed off guests who paid hundreds of dollars for New Year's celebration. It got so bad that guests were fighting outside for a place to sit. We were greeted by police sirens as we approach the restaurant at 10 PM. No appropriate countdown for the New Year's, no champagne. Guests were looking at each other and looking at their watches in complete confusion as no one knew whether the clock struck midnight or not. Worst organized new year celebration I have ever been a part of. Never ever again. Stay away from this place as much as you can as the owner is only interested in collecting your money but not in providing you with a good experience. read more

The other day I was in Glendale and stopped by Alegro on Brand near the Stars Theater. Honestly, it was a coincident I walked into this mediterranean restaurant I never visited before. Guess what? I was received with warm greetings, was served the best OJ I ever had at a restaurant and enjoyed the most delicious blackened grilled salmon salad in the long time. And the french fries were out of this world. To top it off the waitress was the sweetest of it all providing excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant for a perfect lunch with friends, associates or your family. I give it 5 stars. Bon appetit! read more

I have visited Alegro a numerous amount of times and thought I should give this place a few tries before I write a review. In the beginning, there were many clueless waitresses who did not speak a word of English, did not know how to take orders, and did not know the meaning of customer service. Throughout the past few months, customer service has improved a lot and the environment has gotten much cleaner. I love coming here because their hookah is exceptional! Yurik has definitely made this place a better place and a more welcoming environment. I had a bad experience with one of the waitresses, I believe her name is Kathy. I ordered a hot tea and she brought me a glass filled halfway with hot water and told me she's boiling the rest of the water and it will be out in 5 minutes. Oh, so you were waiting for my hot water to get cold so you could fill the rest with hot water? I was so confused. So after she brought out the rest of the hot water, I asked her if she could empty the half glass and bring me a full glass of hot water and she turned around and said, "I have to charge you for a new tea but I won't." Lol, what? Anyways, Yurik professionally took care of it and provided me and my friends with exceptional customer service. Thank you Yurik, and thank you Alegro for taking care of your customers. Haven't been in this place for a few years, but was in the neighborhood & had lunch w my husband. This place doesn't disappoint! We had the most delicious & juicy chicken kebab (w grilled veggies) I've ever tried & the freshest seared, sushi quality ahi tuna salad. The portions were VERY generous- we took the leftovers home & just had it for dinner. Yum! Definitely a place to have on ur speed-dial. I am jealous of people who work in the area. read more

I particularly loved the salmon salad and mushroom veggie pizza for lunch. The lamb and chicken BBQ during dinner was sooooo well prepared. This review is for the hookah server, Yurik! I came here with my friends because they were raving about how amazing the environment is. We ordered two hookahs and they were hitting so good, very amazed on how amazing Yurik packed a great head of tangiers. He served us so pleasently and kept bringing coals when needed. The only bad service that I had was the waitress that was serving us, a lot of attitude. I understand people have bad days and are stressed but this girl looked so mad anytime we asked for more hot water or anything we wanted. I felt so uncomfortable when she came to our table to the point that anytime we needed something I had to ask the hookah server for more sugar because I did not want to speak with her. I would hope next time I come her attitude and her customer service will change not only for me but for other customers too. If it wasn't for the hookah server I would not be back! read more
