I…read morefirst came in for glass jars to store herbs and spices, and somehow left with a hundred other little things. They have a wide selection of houseware (jars, pillows, plates, ramekins, brooms), party supplies (wrapping paper, napkins, cellophane, party hats, tiny paper umbrellas, all that jazz), candles for some reason, flags, and other odds and ends. If you're in the area do pop in and take a look around, you're bound to find some very well priced household essentials.

Excellent store and location!…read more While not exactly downtown Antwerp, it is only a 20 minute walk max or a short car ride. Thankfully this location was near my hotel, which always spells trouble for me since I am a Lidl and Aldi's nut! This store is a tad confusing as its more of a shotgun style store being long and narrow. Oddly this plays out well for shopping since you head one direction, then follow back the same direction to check out. As usual their inventory constantly changes and offers plenty of goodies! Employees seem to never be around, but finding items in the store is quite easy, so wasn't an issue for me. Solid 4 out of 5 for me and would gladly revisit if I was in the area in the future.

I think it's the cheapest supermarket in the neighborhood. The quality of the food is also pretty good. In the Netherlands Lidl has won for a few consecutive years the award for best fruits and vegetables. I'm guessing they use the same fruits and vegetables in this Lidl.
