Tesco Extra

She seemed to genuinely care, which is great. Due to the layout, it reminds me a lot of the Oldham Huddersfield Road Extra branch closer to home, you enter the store through an Underground style sheltered car-park and then go up a travelator (very steep) to the main store. The store is pretty large and the selection is good in general, they have a coffee machine inside the main store which is helpful. I did find the alcohol selection a little confusing as they did seem to split the sections across certain aisles, meaning if it wasn't for me passing by chance, I'd have thought they were out of certain pre-mix cans, but I did manage to pick up my JD and no sugar cola for the Avanti train journey back to Manchester. The selection was good for the store of its' size but I was disappointed in certain areas, notably the selection of coffee capsules. They had some good facilities in the store including a Vision Express opticians. The scan as you shop scanners are handy which you can obtain at the front of the store, the tablet where you can key in your Clubcard number was so slow, it seemed to stick after every number and I noticed another customer having similar issues too. 4* - A large Tesco branch with a mostly very good product range and pretty nice staff too.

I just wanted to tell you about Russel in the car park, he was professional, in his job, he stopped what he was doing, made sure I got in my car, and took the scooter back into store for me, please share this post with him, he was polite and very well spoken, nothing was too much trouble for him, I would just like to say thank you xx.

On the top floor which is accessable by escalators or by the lift is kidwear, menswear and underwear. They dont have alot to offer in the way f kidwear however and i find this rather disapointing. You will also find a nice small useful cafe which do a nice range of food and drink. On the bottom floor is womens wear, gifts and the food department. Its a nice store for just nipping into but not great for doing a bit shop as they dont have the whole variety available.
Nice clean and tidy store. Not too big. Staff very helpful. good food rangeread more

I've been driving past this place for ages and yesterday decided to have a look inside. WOW! It's…read moremuch larger than it seems from outside, and the range of continental food (mostly Yummy Polish things!) is amazing. I was short of time so just bought a selection of interesting Polish and Latvian (!!!) beers and then did a quick scan of the rest. The butchery section seemed to have more choices than I recognized - and it all looked so clean & fresh! I couldn't get past the patisserie (or cukiernia in Polish!) though. Such amazingly artistic stuff!! I bought a slab of gateau which will keep my wife and I going for days. I'm a bit worried about taking her in there, though - she will probably spend a month's housekeeping money in minutes - so much choice - and so attractively displayed. Now I'm a regular. Go and check it out yourself. Tony D

Morrisons
A fairly large Morrisons in Crewe, it is a short bus ride (3/4 stops) from the Bus Station in the…read moretown centre, while it also has a good size car park and a petrol station, with a coffee machine. The main supermarket has a good selection of products to chose from for a product of its' size, while Morrisons isn't my favourite supermarket brand in general and I only came here as there wasn't a nearby alternative other than Tesco, my shopping experience was OK and I was able to get most of the items I came in for which I'd usually expect to find at Morrisons. The staff weren't as helpful as other stores, it was a little hard to find someone on the shop floor and when I did they only told me "the back aisle" and left me to find something for myself, even though the store wasn't too busy, luckily I did get my Carabao in the end! The cafe opening times are generous in the evenings, during the week they open the cafe until 6 pm with the store closing four hours later, the store also has a much nicer vibe to it than many other Morrisons stores which seem really old-fashioned to me, but this store wasn't bad. I also liked how they had Amazon lockers right by the front entrance, which is super useful. 4* - One of my favourite Morrisons stores I've visited, I do find their main rivals to have a better selection especially in terms of quality free-from product, rather than cheap and bland free-from products which they seem to have here.

Marks and Spencer
Marks & Spencer at Grand Junction is the only branch remaining in Crewe, after they shut down the…read moretown centre branch, but it is only a short-walk away from the town centre, and with it being in a small retail park which also includes Boots and Nando's, amongst others, you won't really have to go out of your way to visit here so that isn't too bad. I did find the automatic door to be rather generous, which was run on a censor, meaning it closed on me part-way through me actually going through it, while making no noise whatsoever. I did find it hard to find any staff members around the store, or even greeting at the entrance/exit, again this isn't typical of other Marks & Spencer locations which are generally awesome. I'd probably avoid Marks & Spencer on any future visits to Crewe as it is a poor location in comparison to the others, but it's still nice to see this brand in the town for local residents, especially after the only other store within Crewe was closed, which is the reason for the extra star. 2*

The food sold here is all of the best quality. The store is stylish and well laid out and the customer service is great. It's on a retail park in Crewe so parking is easy (though at weekends the traffic can be a little heavy).
Asda Stores

While the selection of non-groceries and other services/stands were limited compared to other stores, the choice was still satisfactory for a store of its' size. Some kiosks they do have are a little small and could seem to be in the way at peak times, such as the cigarette/lottery counter. The Car Park seems to be run by Cheshire East Council meaning it isn't free, this is one of the few supermarkets I've found outside of a large city centre to not have free parking, as the majority of customers will be attending in a car, I think that is pretty ridiculous as not many people want to be carrying bags of groceries on the bus/train, perhaps adding a promotion where you receive the cost off your shopping if you spend a certain amount is a solution to stop people parking there if they are going into Crewe town centre just down the road. Car Park is also poorly lit and not designed very well if you are attending on foot either, so it's a shame the parking fees aren't actually going to improve the car park. 3* - Decent sized supermarket, nothing too special, I was able to get the items I came in store from but these were three items which are stocked at 99% of ASDA's anyway.

Cheap prices for top brands or try their Smart price range for really low prices. This store is large and has plenty of choice. Their George clothes and homeware section is actually in a separate shop this has pros and cons the main con being that I can't trick my boyfriend into going down the clothes isle it's not there! It can get busy but compared to other local supermarkets I find it the most manageable at a busy time. Also all tills are manned, all the time when it is busy! This is fantastic! Only one downside, well two actually - the toilets and cafe are pretty disgusting.

Instead, they've brought a bit of foodie escapsim to the drab northwest! Admittedly its not on the same level as safeway used to be in terms of prices, and even stock levels, but what it is is a place to buy food you can be indulgent with. It is more expensive than a lot of supermarkets, but when the quality is as good as it is, then you probably find they even up quite well with other shops. For example, when you are buying meats, there is no wastage and so you are probably paying in proportion the same amount as you would at other supermarkets. the cafe is lovely, and the staff are increibly helpful.

The staff are very helpful and service is second to none. The supermarket supports local charity and organisations and gives the customer the opportunity to vote for the cause they'd like their local shop to support. The Sandbach Waitrose also has a lovely cafe. The staff are very helpful and if you arrive with a pushchair they'll take your tray to your table for you. The choice of food, drinks and cakes is excellent!
