As a "gentlemens" nightclub, this one might be one of the oldest in Helsinki. Drinks are quite expensive compared with trendy traditional nightclubs&bars. I took a friend there on the night of the 4th.01.2013 which was a friday night. The new door charge is 15 euros. We got there at 10.30 and it was dead only 4 other guys there. It remained that way till 3 am. All house policies have changed as from 1 year ago and now there is nothing that separates this place from every other pole club in town or tallin for that matter. The whole place is geared to russians who get themselves way to drunk and get pushed into buying an expensive bottle of dom peringnon at a price of 590 euros a bottle. for that you are assured of a lady sitting next to you for one hour by yourside talking to you. a private dance is 80 euros for 10 minutes. We ordered two beers from the tap which tasted and smelt like strong egg. Completely undrinkable so we opted for bottled instead. This place is the con of all cons. The owner we were told lives in turkey and the place had been brought and sold more times than the existing staff can remember. Not one member of staff is motivated to even smile and fully prepared to deliver a very cold shoulder which will last the whole night unless the money doesn't continuously flow in their direction. We were watching one guy get fleeced from the corner of the room was the only reason why we stayed there. Sep 2015 I was in Alcatraz night club. It was way too expensive and its not worth of its kind. You pay entrance, drinks, giving tips (a must) for every ten mins...you should have atleast 150e to spend some quality time (that too only 10 mins) over there but for which you can travel Amsterdam and enjoy lot more for free...... read more
