This hotel sits on a cliff overlooking a beautiful alpine peak. I have been here during last winter…read moreand it was one of the most magical winter wonderlands. It is located in the heart of alps surrounded by divine natural beauty. The hotel itself is very cute and cozy. It has a huge dining hall/Bar on the ground floor. They also have a numerous spa amenities such as sauna, turkish bath, sleeping room, and my favorite of all hot tub on the patio that overlooks the mountains. A BIG YES!! The hosts treat all their guests like their family. The food was exceptionally good. Everything was made from scratch and served with perfection. The dinner menu changes daily based on the chef's special. Be sure to come with a huge appetite! The breakfast is a buffet style. They serve a wide range of bread, prosciutto, cereal, cheese and beverages. If you are here during the ski season, you can buy the ski pass directly from the hotel. The hotel also has a separate storage room for your ski gears which makes it super convenient. I highly recommend this place. it is a great treat with a fantastic hospitality! Can't wait to go back!

Melodia del Bosco is a lovely hotel in Alta Badia that caters to all things outdoor activities…read more Melodia is family owned and operated. The owner is also an avid cyclist, which accounts for the amenities available to cycling groups. This hotel offers great value for the price; from the rooms to daily breakfast and dinner, complimentary wifi, among other things, for which I think I think make it a five-star choice. The rooms: I found our room to be very comfortable, spacious and clean. We had a view to the meadows on the backside of the hotel where you can see deer eating wildflowers in the mornings! All rooms basically come with a view of some sort and a balcony. The food: Breakfast is included in your stay and you get an array of fresh fruit, cheeses, salmui's, breads, pastries, granola, etc. You can also order eggs to your liking. We also enjoyed dinner here one night. The menu features traditional Ladin cuisine as well as some Mediterranean influenced dishes. Other amenities: The hotel offers laundry service which is super fast! They also have a sauna, steam room and massage onsite in addition to a play area for kids and a small gym. In the winter, they have a shuttle to the ski lift, since this is not located directly on the ski area. This hotel is also ideal for cycling groups, as they have a cycling garage with space to wash your bikes as well as storage. Melodia is not located in a town, which for some might not be ideal. But the overall value here makes it a five!
