I started receiving care from counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other types of mental health therapists as a teenager after I was diagnosed with ADD, GAD, PTSD, and bi polar type 1. Out of the estimated 25 mental health professionals I have seen over many years, only 2 were likable and made sense, however refusing medication was never an option. I was told I would have to take medications for the rest of my life which became unacceptable after a few years because the side effects were horrifying, so I quit taking medication and stopped therapy.
I replaced medication and therapy with smoking weed, then I stopped smoking weed about 4 years ago. My emotional and mental issues have been worsening since and some days I can not function (leave my home, go to work, run necessary errands, sleep, socialize etc..).
May 30, 2016 was one of the worst days of my life. I had a horrible experience the day before and I was up the entire night and the next afternoon in a terrible emotional and metal mess unable to stop breaking down. I had to get help so I decided that afternoon to go back to therapy.
I searched online getting more and more irritated at all the familiar rhetoric going through these mental health professional's websites, and then I came across Elevation Center.
I was skeptical, let me just say that I love James Randi, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Bart Ehrman, and other like minded authors, however I was intrigued.
I called Elevation Center and spoke to Alan Miller, told him what was happening to me and he invited me to his center for a no cost consultation to explain what he does to heal people. Alan was very kind and genuine and although I had some reservations I was willing to take a chance if he answered my one simple question, "can you help me right now so I can function today?" With no hesitation he said "yes", so I did a session.
I do not know what the peculiar and unique things Alan was doing during our session, what I do know is he helped strengthen my emotional and mental state tremendously. Alan spent extra time with me, which solidified my initial assumption that Alan is a healer who genuinely cares about people (unlike traditional mental health professionals whose number one concern is what type of insurance you have) and Alan fulfilled his promise to me that after the session I would have no problems functioning that day.
I am so glad I kept an open mind when I called Elevation Center because what Alan did in one session is far more than any other mental health professional did for me after months of sessions and medications. read more
