The bright red door is easy to spot. The museum is just open Friday and Saturdays. No admission is charged and we couldn't find anywhere to leave a donation. The building that houses the museum was built in 1911 and where a fire station once was. A 1930 firetruck remains in the building. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and given a notepad and pen that we could use to sign into the guest book. The souvenirs were a nice way of keeping us safe from COVID. The staff wore masks as did all visitors to the museum. The director gave us a personal tour of the museum that we did not expect but provided a lot of background information of the town from photos to exhibits. It is nice that the town's history has been preserved. There is a North Carolina flag that was flown at the county courthouse. Other items show everyday life including the ledger register for payments made and receipts. One exhibit recognizes a hometown celebrity that was Miss Carolina and has many of her awards. The Coca Cola sign from the soda fountain shop is also displayed. I was most excited about the 1930 firetruck and equipment. I'm always amazed what these firefighters could do with so little available at the time. The second floor recognizes the athletes in the area and there is also a small library. The second floor can only be reached by going up stairs. The museum is a great addition to Graham's history.

Little did I know appointments were booked out for 3 months!!! I searched up to a 100 mile radius for an appointment elsewhere and the earliest and closest option was an hour away. It was that or wait in line all day. I drove the hour, got there 45 mins early and the line was still wrapped around the building. It was 730 am and freezing cold. I stood in line for about 20 mins and one of the workers came outside and asked if anyone had an appointment. I raised my hand quick and was let inside early!!! It took less than 10 minutes for my renewal. I was so happy! Not to mention the renewal lady was extremely nice and let me run back to my car because I forgot the paperwork I needed. Smh It was worth the drive. Great location.

I just don't recommend visiting without an appointment, but how you get an appointment beats me because there were no available appointments at any day or time to select online anywhere in NC. I was a walk in. I waited one hour to check in. The waiting room is small. They had you scan a QR code and said go have lunch and come back. The QR code gave wait time status updates. I did just that. There are no chairs outside for the elderly to sit. Most people who weren't allowed to wait in the waiting room had to wait in their cars. I waited a total of 3 hours for a 6 minute renewal process. At one point around 2:30, they were turning people away. You need a lot of patience and if you wait in line or the lobby, please don't stand or sit there and talk your neighbors heads off Thankfully, I'll be able to renew online next time.

This place is everything but quick.. it took us 40 minutes to get our order, the fries were cold and the rest of the food was just kinda meh. It's quite a shame given the price, I'm guessing they get away with it because there's not really a lot of options to choose from her food and drink. The only reason I'm doing a two star is because my husband said he liked the brew choice and the bread in his sandwich was good ----- Updating given recent remarks in response to my review ---- I appreciate the response to the review, however, I want to be clear that I did not state anything to the nature of referring to or expecting pricing to be in line with fast food pricing... If this is what I was seeking, we certainly would have gone elsewhere (fast food within half a mile) I can only assume someone else has made this remark to the business in the past, however, the comment on pricing specifically related to the sheer amount of food given. i.e. my husbands sandwich had very little protein on it and relied on getting filled by the bread and extra side of fries purchased.

Do NOT send your kids to Skillz4Kidz ‼ (Slightly long post…read moreincoming) Skillz4Kidz is completely irresponsible and negligent to the safety and well being of children's lives. I signed my two kids up to participate in "camp" this week at the Burlington location while they were on break from school. Upon arriving at drop off this morning, I was informed by Coach Chidel that they were going to be taking all the kids to the park. When I raised concern why we were not made aware of any "field trips" before hand, there was no explanation. I then asked how they were transporting the kids. I was told in a van. I asked if they had proper car seats to transport my kids in, as they are only 5 years old and under 40 pounds, they require a 5 point harness car seat. I was assured MANY times they had proper car seats and knew of proper car seat safety. I found out at the end of the day, that both of my children were transported without any car seat or booster seat. When I found out, I immediately called the Skillz 4 Kidz office and Stacey answered the phone. I expressed my HUGE concern over their lack of safety protocols for my children, not requiring signed permission slips, and being lied to by Chidel. I received no sympathy, concern, or accountability from Stacey on the situation. I requested a call from Shannon to discuss this situation further. I received a call back 15 minutes later from Stacey. She informed me that she had spoken with Shannon and they wanted to let me know they weren't legally required to have kids in car seats in their van and they "forgot to send an email out about taking the kids to the park." I let them know this was still completely unacceptable as I was assured my children would be transported in proper car seats and I would not have let them stay at the facility if I was told otherwise. I still received no concern or accountability. Upon doing my own research of North Carolina laws, they are LEGALLY required to transport any kid under 8 years or 40 pounds in a proper car seat for their age, height, and weight. When I called back to the office, Alex answered. When I informed him of the situation and that they illegally transported my children today, I once again received NO accountability for the actions of this business. I was completely blown off by everyone at Skillz4Kidz. Do NOT send your children to any of their facilities.
