It would be nice if we've stayed in a 5 star hotel yet. The 1st thing I noticed, since we came in…read moreas a group, I could hear my neighbor's shoe click-clack (no he's not gay, it's just the type of shoes he wears) next door from us. The bathroom's tight, the door is right where the toilet is. The shower only have half a glass door, so my husband being taller than me, flooded the floor during his shower. The construction also left an old shower curtain metal slider and it was tacky. See photo on my profile, making the room looked very tacky!!! The room itself is quiet, you can't hear the neighbor's TV but you could hear someone using the bathroom upstairs (typical hotels most anywhere). Hubby and I tried to whisper, but I did warned my neighbor we tend to be noisy! He came in late, while we're already in bed asleep, and we could here his footsteps AGAIN, and that woke me up! Or that I was just a light sleeper?
Our dinner . . . . 1st course we were served ratatouille. I've never had that before, I've seen the Disney movie version about a rat called Ratatouille, reminds me of this dish. It's got diced stewed zucchini, diced stewed tomatoes . . . it was very, very good. 2nd course was French fries and ham - like a chicken cordon blue - fried like a corn dog. We thought it was a corn dog, but it was ham! I thought it was childish. There were many Korean eating the same thing. This lady who was living in Oregon, who was born in Colombia didn't eat her food. She wanted salad and she'd rather starve than eat COOKED VEGETABLES. She left the table after we've eaten, hungry. She did went for ice cream. She already had ice cream chocolate bar dipped in chocolate and nuts, during our break, but she didn't have dinner tonight.
For breakfast, the buffet tables had lettuce cut up for salad, sitting in cold water! Tomatoes, pastries, spanish sausages - reminds me of what Filipinos eat, yeah that type of sausages . . . and whole lot more. I was happy with that. There were lots of fresh fruits as well. With that, I'm adding an extra star! Oh wait! I'm taking one star out. . . I just remembered, the sink is pretty slow draining. I don't like water piling in, while I'm trying to brush my teeth and spit and there's a flood of water in the sink!
We have free Wi-fi in the room, another reason why I'm able to send this review. One negative: NO wash clothes! I actually have to use a towel size just to wash my body & face, instead of a wash cloth. I didn't even bother asking, since they didn't have them in Madrid, and this is Cordoba, so I guess this is the Spanish style, they just don't use wash clothes here! We have a bidette! Liking that one, A LOT!!!!! And use that one a LOT! :)
