So I sent an email and was in correspondence with Sue. We we're back in forth about my design request, an estimate and then me stating that I would stop in to get it done. So I finally went to the store, maybe 3-5 days later and she was off I guess. So the part owner as he stated, name starts with a B (I forgot) was there. First of all when I walked in, no one was visibly in sight, I had to walk to the right and then was greeted (as he was seated) a "Hi, how can I help you?"...I think it's rude and call me anal but if you walk in a DEAD store and have to look for employees to assist you...that's a problem... Ok so I explained to him I was emailing back and forth with Sue and he found my email and then I told him I supply my own hats which I had in my bag, thereafter I explained how I wanted my design placed and basically my originally design they couldn't do, my second suggestion he stated would be $40 per hat which I found ridiculous given it's only $8 per hat with my single design and finally the 3rd suggestion is basically what I got...blah The whole undertone of the conversation was making me feel like he wanted to weed me out thinking I can't afford what I want...I mean I'm not insinuating racism but I am a young black female and he was a white older gentlemen who basically sized me up in my perspective... So then he quoted me the grand total and I paid in full, I found that a little different then in NY because you have the OPTION to pay deposit should you not like the proof but anyway I paid I noticed a nice quilted bomber jacket on the rack while walking to the center of the store and asked do they have a catalog, he was nice enough to give me thick catalog and website link (hence the 2nd star) The quality of the embroidery is subpar at best and you will see in the photos, that my logo is messed up on some of the hats...when I received my hats back they were all flattened and the inside tag is stretched. I do not recommend anyone do business here, they make you feel uncomfortable and the quality is trash...stay away!

A week later I contacted him with a selection and he did not want to discuss this over the phone. Rather, he told me to email him all of the details and he would get back to me. So, I did. Several days past and I hear nothing. I call Bret back and let him know that I did what he instructed yet I've not heard back from him. He asked me what it was that I wanted. I told him that all of the details were in the email just as he instructed. He said he didn't get a chance to check his emails (3 days worth??) and that he would and get back to me by the end of business THAT day. It's been two days since that call and we've gotten NO RESPONSE. I'm an advocate for giving local businesses my business rather than larger corporations. In this instance, I can honestly say that I would no longer feel confident that the job that I'm requesting would be accomplished in a timely and professional manner based on my experience with your business. I would not recommend your business to anyone as a result.

Man-O Man! I finally found a place that was able to bring my vision to life. Granted, my vision…read morewasn't super complicated but Andre has exceptional customer service. I reached out via IG as the project I wanted was not listed on the site. I wanted customized pillow cases for my upcoming vacation. All in all, Andre responded to my inquiry the same day AND get this?!......... the total price was super affordable. I purchased 2 satin pillow cases via Amazon and provided Teez Cafe with the pillow cases for the customization. He pulled up my project on the screen to allow me to make any additional edits, etc. Talk about super accommodating. I paid $30 for 2 customized pillow cases and he accepts cards. One thing I will add is appointments are mandatory, no walk-ins! Especially since its a black-owned business and sort of hard to find. But it's totally worth it. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it took him 3-4 days to finish my project AND once completed delivered it to me in a nice tote bag. I'm sure he has tons of other complicated orders to fulfill.
