There were lots of authentic Italian goods and goodies, and a fantastic range of wines and liquors, which you can try fist before you buy it, especially the wine department is very well organized. I highly recommended this place.

From the owner: Dreißig Jahre "Bixio - Da Bruno e Daniele"…read more Ein Italiener, der Geschichte schreibt: Angefangen mit der Gründung des Bixio im Jahr 1984 im Möbelmarkt in Rönneburg. Ein Möbelhaus-Café wird von Bruno Tenedini und Renato Bucalo zum italienischen Restaurant umgewandelt. Damals entstand die Idee, den Gästen die gehobene italienische Küche an einem ungewöhnlichen Standort näherzubringen. Hierzu zählen vor allem die Besonderheiten der regionalen italienischen Landstriche, welche die italienische Küche ausmachen. Eine Spezialität, die Antipasti, wurde mit dem Freitags-Buffet zum großen Erfolg. 1995 steigt Daniele Bucalo mit in den Betrieb ein. Ein neuer Standort, das Bixio am Schellerdamm im Channel Hamburg, wurde von 2003 bis 2010 zum In-Lokal gekrönt. Im Anschluss daran ging die Reise weiter nach Meckelfeld, wo sich die beiden,
