The building itself has a lot of history to it, and it is quite fitting that it has been repurposed as a center for the study of the holocaust as well as narrating the experience of Norwegian Jews and their persecution during the Nazi period. I would have loved for more of the exhibits to be in English (much of it is just in Norwegian). The cafe was a wonderful place to stop and have lunch, and the people that work there are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed visiting and appreciate the work that they do.

For me, it was basically walking around reading a book the entire time, which isn't that interesting to me. What I could make out, I did enjoy. There are some amazing artifacts from the holocaust here, and I don't think this place should be missed, especially since it is free with your City Pass card, but I didn't enjoy it here as much as I enjoyed other museums on this island. Note: They have very clean bathrooms. They have lockers available (to rent). There is a cafe. They offer free wifi.

They also have a great cafe on the first floor with wholesome food and good coffee. It is easy to ask people for advice or input if you have any questions, or just to get some time to work if you need to get a way from it all. Mesh is also becoming one of the most thriving incubators in Norway with several companies coming here to find new talent, and innovative ideas! If you care for a beer after work, you will find a club in the back yard after hours.
