I am writing this review because of the comments Deanna had posted on my previous review of this company. First off, if you were so for your customers, you would try to spell their last name correctly.
Next, the only time I raised my voice was when Rodney was rudely interrupting me on the phone after he gave his word that nothing but the best product would be used to repair the errors the roofers made with my lightning rods. Clearly you lack experience in country roofs as a lot of houses built prior to the 70's have lightning rods. What confuses me the most is they took them off, why couldn't they replace them in the proper location? A lightning rod serves no purpose at the lowest point of the roof. Then Rodney scoffs at me when I asked if you guys were going to use silicone, him stating that he uses nothing but the best as if he was offended that I asked him that. Low and behold, Andrew uses silicone. I still stand behind what I said before that Andrew never removed any of the silicone, rather he just applied whatever product you use over top of it. there was an abundance of silicone over the shingle that was never removed. But to save face with him while he was at my place, I agreed with him.
As for the vents, it clearly stated in the contract that you would install all venting necessary. So when you say it has nothing to do with the contract, I do not know what you are talking about.
I had an issue with frost accumulation in the roof and Rodney seemed to think that I needed more vents, which was included in the contract. After the vents were installed, I went up into the attic over the Christmas holiday and noted about 1/4" of frost all on the inside of my roof. When I went up to investigate, I noticed that your roofers had not even capped off my old chimney, rather they just left it so the warm humid air from the basement would go up into the roof. That is what caused the frost. Although it was not included in the contract, I asked Rodney, if they could remove the old chimney, he told me $200 would suffice. You guys couldn't even buy a $6 sidewalk block to cap off my chimney? It was a good thing I went up there to have a look because your neglect could have potentially caused more damage.
As for the holes in the roof, I still stand by my word that there were a total of 8 misfired nails that were patched up in my roof. I spent over $30000 on my two buildings to have a roof that had a 50 year warranty, not to have to go up and inspect the misfired nail holes that your roofer haphazardly did every 5 years to ensure they are all sealed.
I am glad you do not want my business, you two are pretentious people that only want money and do not care about the customer satisfaction portion. Clearly I was not happy and all Rodney cared about was his persona. And for you to tell contractors not to deal with me is clearly slander! Besides, I don't know a single contractor that hasn't taken my money, especially when a job is worth over $30000. I should have gone local as AkRon roofing was a mistake.
When I said the quality of the roof is exceptional, that is the GAF product, not the dealings with yourself and Rodney. Not to mention the number of days I took off because you stated you were going to have somebody over to replace the shingles and install the vents, only to have you guys cancel last minute due to other projects... Unacceptable.
Please note, I will continue to reply back to every response you provide because it is my duty as an unsatisfied customer to let all potential customers know how I was treated and the lies you have written as I was not a bully, only someone who got hung up on by your business owner when I had a concern and he would not give me the opportunity to talk.
