There are study rooms, meeting rooms and tables. This is the library located farthest to the west in Sioux Falls. It is just to the south of Discovery Elementary.

The adult part of the library seems great. The kids area.... Both times I have been there it was…read moredisgusting. It doesn't look like it has been vacuumed in weeks. Trash overflowing from the trash cans (including food) and onto the floor, also trash all over the floor. Seems like there may be a giant hole in the carpet that they just covered up with what looks like cardboard? The kids story time was definitely the worst I've been to by a landslide. No structure, no introduction stuff for the kids, no themes, a lot of disruptions, and just so short. Also the librarian chastised the parents on kids not being developmentally capable of sharing which, as parents, we still need to model and reinforce what sharing behavior is and it is ridiculous. Very disappointed and think that the city can do so much more to invest in the community's children.

Back before we had a table in the studio, it would either be Starbucks or here at the library to…read morestudy and do homework. This place has a very welcoming atmosphere for learning and reading. There are study rooms and even personal rooms you can reserve. Right when you walk in there is a pretty good size bird cage with clear windows on the sides. Originally I thought they would be obnoxious but it turned out to be pretty neat. Now days I only stop by to use their printer. 15 cents a copy to print and make sure you bring cash.

I am a fan of the Siouxland library system in general but this branch has become a home for my family. Along with offering so many books options there is also computers, classes, groups, seminars, and so much to do if you wanted. I highly recommend checking out their website for a full list. Speaking about this location specifically, all the staff are friendly and accommodating each visit. My daughter is completing the 1000 books before kindergarten and she loves visiting. The building is spacious and provides such a relaxing atmosphere to relax and just take time to slow down. My finds so much to do there, including checking out quite a few books. The selection is amazing. I like the convenience of "ordering" online and pick up, or just browsing and see what I like. The library is always clean and accommodating. The public library system in Sioux Falls is a gem and Ronning is an extension of this.
