It's awesome! Dr. Akler says my vision will further improve which is crazy for me to think about. Dr. Akler, Barbara, and their whole staff are very thorough with their consultation. They did tests the "commercial LASIK" places didn't do when I went there for a consult. The surgery was the weirdest thing you can do, but I would do it again hands down x 1000000. The surgery itself was pain-free. Dr. Akler talks you through the whole surgery while she's doing it. I did have some pain for the first 2 hours when I got home, but it went away and hasn't been back. I've had no complications and I attribute that to a great consultation (ensuring I'm a good candidate), following the pre-op instructions, and the skills and knowledge of Dr. Akler. It's mind-blowing to be able to see this well without my contacts. If you're looking to get rid of glasses and contacts, look no further than Akler Eye Care. My first impression I got there was still unknown and their sign of the clinic was falling off from their building but everybody there was very nice. Dr. Hakim did such a great job. no scars, no dry eye, and no redness which I was worried. I was very happy about the result. I went to someone else before Hakim Eye Center and told me $3700 charge because they do not have a machine in their place and care about me after the surgery. She performed a surgery and claimed to have removed it completely. It was incredibly painful and she cried the entire time. She was hoping the pain would be worth it. It had shrunk at first but 2 weeks later it came back. We went to see her about it again and told her she hadn't removed it to which she responded "its just scar tissue". She prescribed more steroid cream and told her to use that and it would help. Its now been over a month and the stye is bigger than its ever been. We now have to see another doctor who can actually remove this stye. Stay away from this place
