I had been pick-pocketed during Cervantino, so I was feeling violated and bummed, but coming to these classes lifted my spirits! The instructor, Sandra, and her students were so kind and welcoming towards me. I had fun dancing and working out with them throughout the week I was there and looked forward to coming to class and seeing and interacting with the ladies. I can't comment on the quality or effectiveness of the equipment at this gym because I didn't use it since I only took classes here. The water in the women's restroom wasn't working the time I wanted to wash my hands before heading out; as one of my new friends said to me in response, "We're in Mexico"! :) Each class (and I imagine also cost if you wanted to use the gym and not take a class) was $20 MX, which is equivalent to about $1 USD (super cheap by US standards)! Overall, I would return to Borregos Gym if I found myself back in Guanajuato someday.
