Of course things weren't fancy or sublime or perfect in the guidebook-way of rating. But the whole experience added up to an extremely memorable afternoon spent in this lovely establishment. I'm a huge wino, and the uptight regulations in the US have made me giddy for wine shops where you can buy a bottle and drink it right there with some snacks, or in this case, some delicious food. When I was there it was very quiet and relaxed, I might have been the only guest dining at the time. I splurged on some stupendous white Burgundies, and had some delicious baguette with a warm goat cheese salad (actually three or four different kinds of goat cheese, toasted on bread), and some roasted chicken in a mushroom sauce, chicken that was moist, tender, and delicious, not overcooked in the slightest. I would recommend this small and unassuming place to any friend visiting Dijon. I'll be back!

The hot meal items change daily, but you can almost always expect a chicken, beef, or pork dish served on white rice with sauce. The curry chicken is a personal favorite. Aside from the fresh, hot entrees, you can choose from a variety of smoothies and fresh-squeezed juices. There is also a selection of ready-made refrigerated items including salads, sandwiches, and sides. You can't go wrong with the steamed lentils seasoned with white wine and, you guessed it, Dijon mustard. The staff ne parle pas anglais, so stick to what looks good to you and don't ask too many questions. If you do speak French, so much the better - the owner is soft-spoken but very friendly. As a college student abroad, this was my go-to lunch spot, which should speak to its convenience and affordability. If you do end up going, see if you can spy a Texas flag.
