Lawyer 1 (AVVO 9+) didn't listen, Lawyer 2 (AVVO 9+) didn't prepare until the weekend before and yelled at me for asking questions (and lost), Lawyer 3 got results but cost truly insane amounts (my entire inheritance in 9 months), Lawyer 3.5 (separate DCFS case) was ok, but still cost too much, Lawyer 4 (AVVO 9+) listened well at first, but never again, and then finally Deborah was recommended to me by a lawyer that worked next to my office (not family law). NONE of my prior frustrations appeared again. I worked primarily with Emily, but I feel I got the perfect dose of Deborah's oversight. Important aspects were run by her, I had access to her, but my bills were not overly peppered with her time. She never hid from me, the documents she authored were good, and she drafted them quickly. She welcomed my input, and even used some of it.
