Next issue was addressed by Dr Even. He has a great group, can't speak highly enough about both Dr Even and his PA Ambrosia. Amazing team. Couple years and I'm back with a hip replacement. Once again, Dr Seroyer does an outstanding job. Back on my feet in 2 weeks. Another 2 years roll by and again I need to see Dr Even. Had to have another fusion and they found a small cyst in L3. After recuperating I was good as new. My latest adventure was another spine issue and Dr Even and his team were just as professional as they were the other 2 times. Still recuperating from the last one. Over my 10 years experience, The Surgery skills and desire to get you up and going again are the best there is. As with all offices, changes have been made and sadly not all for the better. Thankfully, the team of Dr Even and Ambrosia are still intact and I would call them again tomorrow if my back needs work. If my other knee and hip need work, Dr Seroyer will get the call. There are issues getting to see the Drs due to schedules and as such, appointments are given to the doctors PA. Thank goodness Dr Even has an excellent PA with Ambrosia. Never worry about visit with them. They are the Best Drs around. That's the reason the PROs use Dr Meister, Dr Seroyer and Dr Even and I fully understand wht.

If you need surgery you're a priority but after that, get in line. While some aspects of the practice are as good as they were 5-7 years, others have significantly eroded . Scheduling and communication are two of the biggest negative changes - not sure why, actually, just based on recent experience with a surgeon's medical assistant and surgery scheduler. Our experience included not receiving return phone calls when promised, not honoring commitments to appointments as discussed, and these are things that we as patients can evaluate - as opposed to how great the surgery was.

I already knew I had no more than a 7 to 10 day window to get surgery. But when I was calling these orthopedics, they were talking about seeing me in weeks or months, not days. And that was if I could even get someone on the phone. There were a number of them that I called no less than five times spoke to no one. Dr Sazy was the only one with a live answering service and not a voicemail system . I was able to find out when I would be able to get someone on the phone and was able to secure an appointment for the next day. When I went for the appointment the next day, I waited a reasonable amount of time and was helped by Leslie until the doctor came in . The doctor took a good amount of time, showing me what the issue was, and proposing how he would fix it. I had written down a list of questions, and he was happy to give me his time to answer every last one of them. He did not make me feel, rushed in any way, like my questions were stupid or unimportant. He had a sense of urgency to correct the issue so that I might be able to make a 100% recovery without even any arthritis. Leslie worked her behind off to get approval from my insurance. She was literally calling them every 30 minutes to press them for the approval as the surgery had become urgent while I was trying to find an orthopedic. Within 24 hours, we had surgery scheduled for the next day at 7 AM. The doctor came in before the surgery to talk to me and again and answer any questions that I had. He went over with me personally, my post op instructions. Again, he took a good amount of time with me, and made me feel that he truly cared. When I was waking up from anesthetic, he was also there to let me know personally that everything went great and went over the instructions again with my caretaker so that nothing would get missed. I truly feel that Dr. Sazy is an old-school doctor. It is completely obvious that medicine for him is a calling more than it is a business. This is so refreshing in this day and age. He is also a very skilled surgeon as I have had zero pain six days after surgery. Swelling is minimal as well. I love Dr Sazy. His office is independent so it might not be fancy like some of the big medical groups. The staff is friendly and seems to know all the patients by name. I had a family doctor growing up that was a Marcus Welby type. He would make house calls, hand hold or whatever you needed to make you feel better. He was an amazing doctor and honestly Dr Sazy reminds me of him. Healthcare has become such a business that there is just a lot less care than there used to be. I look forward to a full recovery with the help of Dr Sazy and his wonderful staff.

I made the appointment as a first timer and I was scheduled the same day. We got there early filled out some paperwork and we were seen. Unfortunately, my boy broke a bone... but he was X-rayed and casted at the same visit. We were in and out in 2.5 hours. We were seen by Dr Garff and casted by Jacob. The staff was beyond professional and friendly. You can tell they deal with kids because they were comfortable with the banter between me and my 17 yr old. It's a shock to find out you have broken a bone. They took care and time in explaining what they were doing and why to him. They allowed him to ask questions and they were not phased at the silliest questions. I highly recommend!!!

Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.

My mom spent weeks there and just got worse. Her memory was bad and was very weak that she could…read morehardly get out of bed and needed 1 to 2 people to assist. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

First, the facility itself. Everything was clean and well maintained. The rehab equipment was all first class. While the food was not exactly 5 star quality, I had no complaints whatsoever. I would say that I enjoyed 99% of everything they served. There was nothing wrong with the other 1%; it just didn't please my palate. I have a good appetite, and I was satisfied with the portion sizes. Unlike other hospitals, the meals were virtually all served on time. Now, the staff. Every therapist I worked with was outstanding. These included Sarah, Dennis, Miguel, Rudy, Edwin, and Carmine. As far as the care, the vast majority were great. I missed a few of their names, but the standouts were Caroline, Karen, Chenemun (?), and Olaniyi. A few of the night staff left a bit to be desired, but the rest of the staff were outstanding. The physicians were all caring and attentive. You won't go wrong if you choose this facility for your rehab.

I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

When you are in pain and needing help, the worst thing is having a provider that is fleecing you at every opportunity for their profit. It is shameful and especially when you end up spending more to heal because they were ineffective with their services. No one charges 500.00 for a basic TENS unit. Well, no one but them.

They are so slow that it has impacted my insurance payments and I have stopped several times for promised paperwork only to waste my gas. Some are pleasant, others are just rude. The doctor, when you see him for you 15 mnutes in very pleasant. I think they are either understaffed or poorly trained. Either way its not good for patients.
